Stephanie Marie McMahon was born
into the McMahon Family Hartford, Connecticut to WWE Chairman
Vince McMahon and WWE CEO Linda McMahon. In 1998 Stephanie
McMahon graduated from Boston University and became an
Account Executive at Titan Sports in New York, it wouldn't
be long after that she began making World Wrestling Federation
appearances. Her first WWF storyline came when The Undertake
began stalking Stephanie in order to play mental games
with Vince McMahon. On the April 29th 1999 edition of
Raw, Undertaker ambushed Sable (Rena Mero) after a WWF
Women's tag Match, distracting Vince in order to abduct
Stephanie who was found by Ken Shamrock at the end of
the show.
After being involved heavily in the Ministry vs. Corporation
storyline it segued into a Test vs. Shane McMahon as Stephanie
was involved in a love angle between her and Test. Test
came out on top of the feud and the two were soon "engaged."
On the September 20, 1999 edition of Raw Test & Stephanie
McMahon defeated Jeff Jarrett & Debra w/Miss Kitty however
the romance soon came to an end. On November 29, 1999's
edition of RAW, Stephanie McMahon & Test were to have
their wedding and Triple H revealed that he was married
to Stephanie McMahon after he drugged her in Las Vegas.
This infuriated Vince McMahon who challenged Triple H
to a match. On December 12, 1999 at Armageddon on Pay
Per View, Triple H defeated Vince McMahon after Stephanie
McMahon turned heel on her father. This was the beginning
of the McMahon-Helmsley Era.
During her time with Triple H, she took over Raw and Smackdown
and ordered around many wrestlers and also took on a New
look for the role. Soon after, Stephanie's father struck
back by throwing Stephanie in a WWE Women's Title match
against Women's Champion; Jacqueline (March 30, 2000 -
Smackdown). Vince's plan of Jacqueline taking total domination
over Stephanie during the contest didn't happen due to
interference from Triple H, Tori, and the rest of DX.
Holding the title for five months cheating to keep the
title as well as disregarding title defense time limits.
Lita above all the women was cheated out of winning the
title on numerous occasions and Stephanie gained huge
heat from fans. On the August 21, 2000 edition of RAW
she lost it to Lita during the First ever History making
Women's main event with special guest referee; The Rock.
After Stephanie's feud with Lita, Trish Stratus was next
on her hit list. Stephanie and Trish were involved, in
a very in depth feud over the love of Vince McMahon who
was Trish's "Friend" and Stephanie's "Father". Stephanie's
ties to Triple H started to deteriorate during this time,
when Triple H was caught with Trish Stratus and Stephanie
started to become very close with Kurt Angle.
When this feud ended, Stephanie disappeared for a few
months and returned with Shane to begin the WCW/ECW Invasion.
When the Invasion angle ended, Stephanie was assigned
General Manager to Smackdown and dominated the show. Her
most notable feuds during this time we against Sable and
Vince McMahon. Upon Sable's return the WWE, she became
Vince's love interest, and was assigned as Stephanie's
assistant. It didn't take long before the two women were
at each other's throats. The big match up to place on
July 27, 2003, WWE's Vengeance Pay Per View when Sable
defeated Stephanie McMahon. Stephanie later got revenge
at SummerSlam by attacking Sable. The battle however was
not won: October 19, 2003 at No Mercy, Vince McMahon beat
Stephanie McMahon in an "I Quit" match when Linda threw
in the towel, which ended her long time presence on WWE
television as she had to give up her rights as General
Manager to Smackdown.
Soon after on October 25th 2003, Stephanie married Triple
H (Paul Levesque), and made various appearances on WWE
television.
