Sassy Stephie
began her wrestling career in August of 2005, announcing
for UWC (United Wrestling Council). Commentator
Keith Young, who knew her from her time as a local
DJ at a bowling alley, recommended her to the promoter
and the rest was history. After being a childhood
fan of the sport, and especially a fan of "Sensational"
Sherri Martel, it wasn't long before she began training
to scrap it out in the ring herself. This part of
the journey began with training under "Big Guns"
Jeff Cannon, and occasionally with Firestorm Pro
Wrestling, under J-Rocc (Jerry Mires) and Ray Rowe.
On March 10th, 2007, Stephie made her in-ring debut
at Ohio Championship Wrestling's "Ladies Night"
Tournament. Stephie lost the match to Ashley
Lane, and continued wrestling regularly for
Ohio Championship Wrestling. Sassy also made strides
in New Era Pro Wrestling, where she captured the
women's title, Wasp Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Rampage,
appearances in Ring of Honor and more.
It wasn't long before she started wrestling for
prominent Women's Wrestling promotions. On October
19, 2008, Sassy Stephanie made her Shimmer debut
in a dark match where she lost to Rachel
Summerlyn. She continued working dark matches
for the promotion, taking loses in a tag match (w/
Kimberly Kash) against Rachel Summerlyn
& Rayna Von Tash in Volume 23 (May 2, 2009) and
loosing to Kimberly Kash in Volume 25 (May 3, 2009).
On November 8 2009, she teamed up with Kacey Diamond
to get her first Shimmer victory, picking up a win
over Kimberly Kash and Leva Bates. In Shimmer Volume
28, she finally made her debut on the main show,
where she and Kacey Diamond lost
to the former Shimmer Tag Team champions Ashley
Lane & Nevaeh.
Sassy also did work Professional Girl Wrestling
Association, and in January 2009, she made her debut
in for Jersey All Pro Wrestling's Women's Division.
Stephie also began wrestling for Women Superstars
Uncensored. On October 3 2009, she taped matches
for WSU
Raining Misery loosing to Cindy
Rogers, and WSU
Excellence loosing to Amber O'Neal. Just over
a month after, on November
12 2009, she made her retrun to Jersey All Pro
Wrestling's Women's Division, defeating Fate
in the “Girl Power,” taping.
