Malia began wrestling after her father dared her to train--a
sport in which she originally had no interest in, ended
up being her claim to fame. Malia trained with the great
Walter "Killer" Kowalski and today is a recognizable figure
in the history of Women's Wrestling.
Malia wrestled her first match in Holyoake, Mass. on Aug.
7, 1987 with Misty Blue vs. Linda Dallas & Maddog Debbie
and delved right into working matches with top females
of the time. Early in her career, she had the opportunity
to wrestle for all-female promotion Ladies Professional
Wrestling Association (LPWA). She was featured on LPWA's
Super Ladies Showdown Pay Per View where she and Bambi
(Selina Majors) took on former WWF Women's Tag-Team Champions
Leilani Kai and Judy Martin for the LPWA Tag Team Championship.
After LPWA folded, she continued wrestling on the Independent
circuit, and a year later she found herself in ECW. On
ECW's NWA Bloodfest show on October 1, 1993 she defeated
Molly McShane. On the 1993 ECW November to Remember Pay
Per View where she defeated Sherri Martel by disqualification.
In 1996 Malia defeated Debbie Combs for the NWA Ladies
World title and worked for WCW in 1996 into 1997. On WCW
television, she wrestled Madusa Mecelli, Zero, Lelani
Kai and Akiro Hokuto. In 1999 she was signed to a WWF
developmental contract. She portrayed one of the godfather's
ho's and on June 28, 1999's RAW she played a fan who was
attacked by WWF Women's Champion Ivory and Nicole Bass.
She never had the opportunity to have a full-time role
in the WWF and was let go from the contract.
Malia went on to defeat Brandi Alexander for the WLW Ladies
Championship and continue to build her legacy on the independent
circuit. Competitors included Trinity, Brandi Wine, Gail
Kim, Lollipop, Amy Young, Josie and more. In 2006, she
wrestled for Shimmer Women Athletes Volume #3 and became
a mainstay in the promotion. In Volume 4, herself and
Lexie Fyfe beat Cindy Rogers & Lorelei Lee, beginning
the pairing of a top Shimmer Tag-Team. They called themselves
"The Experience," and picked of numerous victories.
