Shantelle Larissa Malawski trained under Rob Fuego at Squared
Circle Training in Ontario, Canada and made her professional
wrestling debut in 2003. She is among the elite female grapplers
to come out of Squared Circle Training which includes Angel
Williams (Angelina Love) and Gail Kim. She quickly began
getting recognition and on December 19th 2004 on Canada's
Discovery Channel, a two-hour documentary "Slam Bam" featured
Shantelle Taylor, as the show followed wrestlers in training.
In 2005 she won her first title, the New Vision Pro Wrestling
Women's title and began to receive more recognition working
for SHIMMER. In SHIMMER Volume 1, she defeated Tiana Ringer,
in what is considered to be the first Shimmer match. In
SHIMMER Volume 4, she defeated Ann Brookstone (aka Ann Thraxx)
and in other volumes, she suffered loses against Cheerleader
Melissa. She wrestling the likes of Tiana Ringer, Tracy
Brooks and Danyah Rayz into 2006.
In May 2006, she signed a developmental contract with the
WWE and began wrestling in Deep South Wrestling. She immediately
began feuding against Krissy Vaine and Angel Williams, teaming
up with Tracy Taylor. The feud continued into 2007, and
she was joined by Natalie Neidhart in her rivalry against
Krissy Vaine and Angel Williams. On January 19, 2007 on
SmackDown! Shantelle Taylor under the name "San-Eye", defeated
Jamie Noble in a dark match.
On June 15th 2007, on SmackDown!, Shantelle Taylor defeated
Jillian Hall in a dark match and it looked as if she was
going to be brought on to WWE Television. Despite the dark
match, on August 14th 2007, sher was released from her World
Wrestling Entertainment developmental contract.
In 2008, she signed a contract with TNA Wrestling, and wrestling
a dark match on the April 16, tapings of TNA iMPACT! defeating
Raisha Saeed. On the June 19, 2008 edition of iMPACT!. she
challenged Awesome Kong in her 25,000 dollar challenge as
"Taylor", wrestling a competitive match and getting one
near fall on Kong. The next week on iMPACT! Taylor and Kong
brawled and they had to be broken up by security. On the
July 3rd episode of iMPACT!, Taylor defeated Raisah Saeed
to earn a shot at the TNA Women's titles, as well as the
$25,000 challenge. The following week, she defeated Awesome
Kong on iMPACT! with a schoolgirl pin, to become the TNA
Women's champ under the name "Taylor Wilde."
