This week on Impact, TNA Women’s Knockout Champion Tara successfully defended her title against Angelina Love. TNA also gave us more Knockouts action in the form of a web match: Sarita and Taylor Wilde vs. Traci Brooks and ODB.

—At TNA No Surrender (September 20, 2009), Taylor Wilde and Sarita defeated The Beautiful People (Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne), to be crowned the first-ever TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions. Sarita and Taylor picked up the win when Sarita Spring-board drop-kicked Madison into a German-suplex From Wilde.

—The TNA Knockouts Women’s Tag Team Championship belts was revealed by TNA, exclusively for their Facebook.com fans.

For the second week in a row, TNA gave us a Knockout filled Impact, with 3 matches involving Knockouts. In the Knockouts Tag Title Tournament, Awesome Kong & Saeed took on Taylor Wilde & Sarita, and The Beautiful People took on Tara & Christy Hemme. “Future Legend,” Alissa Flash was also on Impact, picking up her first win, in a lumberjacks match.

—This week seemed like a great time to write a new “Rundown,” after months of hiatus. So much is currently going on, or has happened in the last couple of weeks in women’s wrestling. From Angelina Love’s shocking release just days from crowning the first ever TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions, to Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s 2009 Top 50 Female Wrestlers list being revealed.

—On tonight’s episode of TNA iMPACT!, a Knockouts Tag Team Tournament, to crown the first ever TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions was announced. As a preview match, we saw Sarita (w/Taylor Wilde) vs. Traci Brooks (w/Sharmell) vs. Awesome Kong (w/Raisha Saeed) vs. Christy Hemme (w/Tara). Each woman in the 4-Way, was accompanied by their tag-team partner in the tournament.

—Beverly Mullins, better known as FCW’s Wesley Holiday made her WWE debut this week. Beverly appeared as a ECW on Syfy backstage interviewer, going by name “Courtney Taylor.” Prior to signing with the WWE, Mullins was a model.
