In 2012, Shine Wrestling was announced—an all-female professional wrestling promotion, and sister promotion to Shimmer Women Athletes. This was a collaborative effort between promoters Sal Hamaoui (Full Impact Pro) and Dave Prazak (Shimmer Women Athletes).
The promotion made its debut on July 20, 2012, with “Shine 1.” Shine 1 took place at the The Orpheum, in Ybor City, Florida, and streamed Live on Internet Pay-Per-View. Talent included 2-Time WWE Women’s Champion Jazz, Nikki Roxx, Reby Sky, Mercedes Martinez, Sara Del Rey, and more. The show was later released on DVD.
Prior to the show—on June 18, 2012, at EVOLVE 14 on iPPV, Sara Del Rey challenged Jazz for Shine 1, which was billed as the Main-Event of the show. Jazz went on to defeat Sara Del Rey with the Jazz Stinger. Promotion staples going forward included Jazz, Santana Garrett, Made In Sin (Taylor Made & Allysin Kay), Reby Sky, Jessicka Havok, and more.
