The following news comes from ProWrestling.net...
-There was an incident involving Awesome Kong on Saturday night in Lowell, Mass. Paramedics were called and police arrived on the scene due to what sources describe as issues relating to a "personal problem." She was taken to a hospital and released a short time later, and managed to appear on the TNA pay-per-view as scheduled. TNA management was initially concerned and later upset about the incident, but she was said to be embarrassed and very apologetic the next day.
Powell's POV: The word on Kong is that she's coping with the loss of a close family member. As one source said, "We've all been there at one time or another." As for Banks (a/k/a Bonnie Maxon), she is working on a nightly deal with TNA and had been working indy dates. She wrestles as "Rain" primarily in the Midwest.
-It appears Payton Banks is done for the time being. "She was in over her head," one source stated. However, the same source said the company hasn't ruled out the possibility of bringing her back in the future.
After last week's Lockdown, Robert Roode walked away from Payton Banks after she cost him their match against Booker T and Sharmell suggesting their association was done. Wouldn't TNA extent the Roode and Payton separation at least a month? Giving her a proper send off...she was an obsessed fan after all. Payton worked in Shimmer and the Indy scene as "Rain" and is much more capable in the ring than a few of their comment women.
