It was announced during tonight's SmackDown taping that a Diva Elimination match will be taking place at this month's Survivor Series pay-per-view. Mickie James will lead her team of girls against a Michelle McCool-led team. The rest of match's participants have yet to be disclosed.

SS used to have the best single matches like ever. Ivory vs Lita, Trish vs Victoria, Lita vs Molly, Trish vs Melina, Lita vs Mickie...


but now its utter crap tag matches where the likes of Natalya will get eliminated first. Tag matches are always a farse. WWE is pathetic.

If it's Mickie vs. Michelle, wouldn't this be a Smackdown Divas only match? RAW already has a new feud b/w Melina and Alicia.

I could see the match being:

Mickie, Maria, (possibly) Beth

vs.

Michelle, Layla, Natalya

Maybe they could add some ECW divas in it.

If Maryse is back, I see her taking the spot of Random heel.

Well im not getting my hopes up. The WWE has all the potential in the world to put on a kick ass traditional Survivor series match..... But they wont. So im not even going to get my hopes up. Man do I miss the days of Team Alundra vs Team Aja.

It would be cool if Alicia and Melina got to work their own match for the Divas Championship and the SS Team Mickie vs Michelle.
I would do a story line where the captians got to choose the team one by one and they dont just choose faces and heels on one team. Cause in reality Beth is not going to want to team with Michelle. I would want Mickie to pick her to "win". You would want the best wrestlers on your team....right?! lol oh WWE creative.....so many possibilities.....

Huh? So it's gonna be Smackdown vs. Smackdown? WTF that makes no sense. What about Raw vs. Smackdown instead?

I think its going to be face vs heel but I dont feel that that much has actually gone on between Mickie and Michelle for this match.Saw this today

Promoting her appearance tomorrow afternoon at The RoomStore in Phoenix, Arizona (located at 3539 West Northern Avenue at 35th Avenue), Maryse said during a radio appearance today with KiiM-FM 99.5 that she should be back wrestling by the Survivor Series

so I think she'll be a suprise entrant on Michelles team.

Layla is basically confirmed to be on Michelle's team, so I see Michelle, Layla and Natayla vs Beth, Mickie and Maria (unless there is 5 on 5)

The teams were pretty predictable, with the exception of me expecting Maryse to return.

The only valuable outcome of the match would be for Beth Phoenix to pick up the victory.

I’m glad that this is an elimination tag match as opposed to just a regular tag match. Last year’s Survivor Series diva match between the brands has remained a fav of mine. Too bad they couldn’t duplicate brand vs. brand though.

I’m a bit surprised to not see Maria or Natalya in this match, more so Maria. She hasn’t been seen on SD since Dolph dumped her.

Well first of all this is some good booking by WWE but I couldn't help feeling Natalya should have been on the team instead of Layla but still a PPV appearance for Layla is long overdue.

Team Michelle is definately the strongest team out of the two but the speed advantage goes to Team Mickie, they have high flyers like Kelly Kelly, Eve & Gail Kim, Melina and Mickie are on and off lol whereas Team Michelle is more strength and ground work e.c.t.

I'm wondering if Beth Phoenix will win this again like she did last year and gloat about it on SD, (much like she did for Melina's return last year) To be honest it would put her in the title picture and my friend Hailey pointed out that most likely is Alicia Fox pins Melina in the match she's most definately next in line for the title, or if Melina eliminates Fox then Melina isn't dropping it any time soon, of course it's just a theory not actual fact.

I think Team Michelle will win, simply for the fact that all this buildup for Beth would be pointless if she gets pinned (unless it was worked well).

I have a strong feeling they are going to have Gail getting pinned by someone, then Kelly will break it up, only to have hit Gail, causing the distraction for her to get pinned.

Team SD will definitely win. Im really looking forward to the match for some reason.Potentially we could have Maryse return , Gail turn heel and the set up of Beth/Michelle
