Madison Eagles vs Ms Chif
Martinez vs. Lexxus:
"73-Minute Match (Photos)"
For the third year in a row, Mercedes Martinez (PROFILE) is Lethalwow.com's "Wrestler of the Year." This puts Mercedes at #1 on Lethalwow.com's Top 25 Ranking of 2011. Martinez also wins "Match of the Year," for her Winner Takes All Ladder Match against Angel Orsini at WSU's The Final Chapter Internet-Pay-Per-View (Review). Other wins include "Best Champion," "Indy Wrestler of the Year," "WSU - Finisher of the Year," and much more. In an age of short and often underwhelming Championship reigns, Mercedes Martinez represents what it means to be a Champion. Her extraordinary reign as WSU Champion is primarily the reason for her 3-year stint as Lethalwow.com Wrestler of the Year... The end of 2011 saw Martinez's reign over the 1000 day mark.

Championship defenses included defeating Angel Orsini in a Ladder match; defeating Serena Deeb at WSU's 4th anniversary show; defeating Lexxus in an unprecedented 73-minute match, and much more. Mercedes ended her year in WSU in a much talked about Six-woman Tag-Team War Games Steel Cage Match live on Internet-Pay-Per-View.

In 2011, Mercedes also continued her amazing work in Shimmer Women Athletes. There she picked up wins over Rachel Summerlyn, Christina Von Eerie, Britani Knight, Leva Bates, and Davina Rose. Mercedes also battled Madison Eagles in a Shimmer Championship match, but came up short. Other promotions Martinez wrestled for in 2011 included Northern Championship Wrestling (NCW) in Canada, Stardom in Japan, Pro Wrestling SUN, and more. Mercdes Martinez also became a 3-Time World Xtreme Wrestling (WXW) Women's Champion on September 10, 2011.

Featured Panelist Picks:
Web-Site Voters Pick: Mickie James

Jessicka Havok... "When I think about Wrestler of the Year, I often ask myself “what was the story of 2011.” No doubt in my mind it was Jessicka Havok. She is a shining example of what proper build up is from start to finish and how you can take somewhat that someone may not know--like myself, to eventually becoming a huge fan of hers. From beating her teacher in Rain, to verterans like Nikki Roxx, to being in one of the best fueds of the year with WSU icon Alicia, to making her own stable in the Midwest Militia, to now about to be involved in one of the biggest matches of 2012, 2011 has indeed become a year of Havok." - @LV5454

Mercedes Martinez... "Simply because she has had the longest title reign in WSU history, with numerous defenses, insane matches and not to mention the longest match in history which was 73 mins." - @BlackRoseSyx

Sara Del Rey... "The Queen of Wrestling moniker is apropos. She's torn it up in SHIMMER and CHIKARA on the regular, and dominated at this year's JoshiMania. There are few better than SDR at this point." - @hittheropes

Mercedes Martinez... "Once again, I’m going with Mercedes Martinez. Last year I wrote about how she had the title for over a year…that was a year ago and she still has her grasp on it, and never letting go. She is one of the toughest people I know, battling through injuries, putting on amazing matches each time. This year saw her and Lexxus go a record breaking 72 minutes (ending her own record with Angel Orsini) in the longest ironwoman match ever. She’s facing some career threatening injuries and will still be back on her feet for the Anniversary show, where I think she just may walk away once again with the belt. Look at her promos, look at her in ring work, it speaks for itself." - @martibelle

Sara Del Rey... "I really wrestled with this one, because Mercedes Martinez is the truth, but I got to give it to the Queen of Wrestling Sara Del Rey and here's why... she has been all over the country showing her dominance regardless if she was by herself, in a tag or in a stable. Sara has gotten a chance to show her skills and her strength through a plethora of various opponents from Claudio Castagnoli to Legends like Aja Kong. 2011 was really Sara's year and I look forward to seeing what 2012 brings." - @gimicks247

Beth Pheonix... "Sometimes I lose all hope in The Divas Division, then I'm reminded there able to have great women wrestling matches whenever Miss Pheonix does her thing." - @theboydiva

TNA - Babyface of the Year: Velvet Sky
WWE - Babyface of the Year: Kelly Kelly
WSU - Babyface of the Year: Alicia
Shimmer - Babyface of the Year: Cheerleader Melissa

Lethalwow.com's 2011 Babyface of the Year goes to Velvet Sky. Velvet Sky was also ranked #7 on Lethalwow.com's Top 25 Ranking of 2011 (See Write-up). Velvet's win was a combination of Website votes; Featured panelist and Fan panelist picks; and Lethalwow.com's Webmaster pick.

Featured Panelist Picks:
Web-Site Voters Pick: Mickie James

Velvet Sky... "When I think about this, I think who fans would get behind the most when the chips are down. Velvet Sky to me would gain the most support when an obstacle is in her way. Her road to the Knockouts title is a good example of that." - @LV5454

Alicia (WSU)... "She has had great matches, and it is undeniable how much the fans love her and want to see her." - @BlackRoseSyx

Kelly Kelly... "She's been the WWE's "It" girl this past year, and whether or not she can wrestle, the girl is over as all hell." - @hittheropes

Alicia Fox... "I think we haven’t really seen what the baby faced Fox will be like, but I do like what I have seen so far!" - @martibelle

Velvet Sky... "I picked Velvet Sky, because I feel like she is truly a babyface that people want to see win and overcome the adversity of the heel. Also, she can talk, she is very nice in person... and gives great hugs; and out of the goodness of her heart she let's the pigeons loose!... just for that she should win by default." - @gimicks247

Kelly Kelly... "Miss thing needs to eat something... her eyes are to squinty... she is this generations cheap imitation of Torrie Wilson... All my opinions aside, you can't deny miss things fanbase." - @theboydiva

2011: Heel of the Year

Jessicka Havok

Heel of the Year: Jessicka Havok (Winner!)

    Subcategory Winners:
TNA - Heel of the Year: Madison Rayne
WWE - Heel of the Year: Beth Phoenix
WSU - Heel of the Year: Jessicka Havok
SHIMMER - Heel of the Year: Madison Eagles

Lethalwow.com's Heel of the Year came down to two women; TNA Knockout Madison Rayne, and Jessicka Havok. The polls picked Madison Rayne, and the panelists picked Jessicka Havok. Like with Wrestler of the year, Lethalwow.com's webmaster made the call, and broke the tie by picking Jessicka Havok. Jessicka Havok Ranked #5 on Lethalwow.com's Top 25 of 2011 (Read Write-Up).

Featured Panelist Picks:
Web-Site Voters Pick: Madison Rayne

Jessicka Havok... "When you ruin a potentially great title match at the 4th Anniversary show; always threatening to kill someone before a match; making your opponent’s mother throw in the towel; make a good girl go bad like Sassy Stepanie; creating a group that threatens the future of WSU, and to top it all off, USING A MACHETE, who else deserves it more?" - @LV5454

Jessicka Havok... "Jessicka is the leader of the Midwest Militia, and was a total psycho at War Games... She pulled a machete on Mercedes out of desperation to win. If that isn't insane, then I don't know what is." - @BlackRoseSyx

Jessicka Havok... "easily!.. She nearly killed a woman in a wrestling ring with a machete. There's just something about Havok that despite being so evil, you are still engaged because she exudes such passion. " - @hittheropes

Jessicka Havok... "hands down... That girl is scary but passionate. I can’t remember the last time I saw someone so passionate about being in the ring and still holding up a machete in her hand... by any means necessary I guess some say. I said her last year, and I’m sticking to it again. She’s not just a “scary” individual though, her work in the ring has definitely made her a believable contender for the WSU World Championship." - @martibelle

Jessicka Havok... "Jessicka Havok, J-HAV, DA HAVOK.. whatever you call her, she is no joke, she legitly scares the crap out of men and women, her promos convey a great realism that not too many women have. No matter what promotion she is apart of, she is a heel of destruction and a force to be reckon with. Jessicka also has great mannerisms which I am a huge fan of as well and with every promo I am convinced that she's about to beat a bitch up and possibly end her life in the middle of the ring. I am mean this woman will punch yo kids in the face and slap yo mama, just cause she's....J-HAV! " - @gimicks247

Madison Rayne... "Tiara; pageant waves; killer song; annoying voice... Anyone who calls themselves a Queen, and then acts like it gets my vote." - @theboydiva

Featured Panelist Picks:
Web-Site Voters Pick: The Beautiful People

Sarita & Rosita... "This was a tough choice, but this came down to the length of title reigns for me. The hot duo of Sarita & Rosita held the TNA Knockout Tag Team titles for 121 days. The most days a championship was by a womens tag team in 2011. The 3rd most in the history of the TNA Knockout Tag Team titles." - @LV5454

The Boston Shore... "They beat the Belle Saints and have defeated every other tag team that has come their way since and are still the champions." - @BlackRoseSyx

Tara and Tessmacher... "The Knockouts tag division is weak, but this team came together seemingly out of nowhere but worked." - @hittheropes

Tara and Tessmacher... "Hmm… I’d say the Belle Saints but, thanks to someone’s betrayal, there are no more Saints. I’m going to go with TnT. Brooke has def improved so much from when she first became a knockout and Tara is without a doubt one of the best women wrestler’s working right now. I think the combination was explosive (see what I did there?!) and they earned those belts! Looking forward to seeing more." - @martibelle

The Boston Shore ... "This Tag-Team impresses me every year, and if you're like 'Boston Shore who,' then you you need to Google them baby. I love the way that Amber talks trash in the ring regardless of if she has the upper hand or not. She can wrestle and does a sweet Perfect Plex. Lexxus is the secret weapon... she looks like she's to small to hurt you, but she's a beast and will beat the crap out of you.  Sexy; smart; and they can both wrestle. Without a shadow of a doubt... Tag Team of the year goes to the Boston Shore." - @gimicks247

The Boston Shore... "hot messes, but I love them! You have to give them credit, as if WSU was prison... they went up to the biggest baddest dogs in the yard (April Hunter, Serena, Traci Brooks, Melina, etc) and took them out, plus they are undefeated as a team, well deserved champions." - @theboydiva

Maryse... "She may not have been on Monday nights a lot in 2011, but if I’m willing to watch NXT just to see Maryse, that in itself defines how sexy you are!" - @LV5454

Lexxus of the Boston Shore... "As I already mentioned, she is one half of the WSU tag-team champions, and also had the 73 minute match with Mercedes for the WSU world title. Although she didn't get the win, it was an amazing match and came close." - @BlackRoseSyx

Brooke Tessmacher... "As a guy, I can appreciate a good rear end, and Tessmacher possesses one. One that is on display when she does that stinkface on her opponents. She has also improved in the ring, so that's pretty hot too." - @hittheropes

"'The first half of 2011 wasn’t the most pleasant of times for this slimmed down cougar; however, after joining the Raw brand and tying up some lose ends with then boyfriend Dolph Ziggler, Vickie transformed her business partner into a more cocky, arrogant, and confident #HEEL who is now looked at as a future world champion in 2012." - @LV5454

Rick Cataldo... "Rick is always there for the wrestler he is with, that is what makes him that great... whatever his wrestler needs he does." - @BlackRoseSyx

Karen Jarrett... "At times she can be quite annoying but she can also being entertaining. As a heel she has been able to get either Jeff Jarrett, Madison Rayne, or Gail Kim the assistance they need to win. " - @hittheropes

Vickie Guerrero... "that woman has got 'it'. She’s led her sexy men to numerous victories, including a current champion. She gets more heat coming out of the curtain and uttering “excuse me” than some of her male co-workers do cutting a five minute promo." - @martibelle

Vickie Guerrero... "Vickie is holding the Manager of the Year down... I know Karen Jarrett is trying to take her throne, but Vickie ain't playing no games... she was an acting general manager; she beat Trish Stratus; she stays on point and manages Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger a.k.a ZiggZazgg Swagg!!! So fall back Karen, cause you can't stop a 40 something year old Cougar with a six pack!" - @gimicks247

Vickie Guerrero... "The lost art of managing is found in her. Plus don't you think she is a crazier version of Kris Jenner? Love it" - @theboydiva

Featured Panelist Picks:

Brooke Tessmacher... "We remember her days back in WWE as part of Extreme Exposé. She actually went and learned how to wrestle and has shown dramatic improvement." - @hittheropes

Eve Torres ... "As much as I love to talk trash about this girl, especially when she tries to do a booty pop with no ass, I must admit Eve has really stepped her game up as a competitor in wwe.  I can't stand matches with Beth Pheonix vs. Kelly Kelly, but I do pay attention when it's Beth Pheonix vs Eve.  Eve looks like she actually has a chance at beating Beth or Natalya. Her moonsault's get better and better, and anybody who's willing
to take an implant buster from the top rope from Beth Phoenix get's my vote." - @gimicks247

Marti Belle... "Hands down. This bitch went from tupac in drag lookin fifth ring post to a little hottie who will knock your block off! TRUST ME she packs a mean punch." - @theboydiva

vs. Alicia (@AliciaDidIt)
:
"No Holds Barred
Last Man Standing Match
"
Feud of the Year: Jessicka Havok vs. Alicia (Winner!)
         Subcategory winners:
          • TNA - Feud of the Year: Karen Jarrett vs the Knockouts Division
          • WWE - Feud of the Year: Divas of Doom vs. The WWE Divas
          • WSU - Feud of the Year: Jessicka Havok vs. Alicia
          • Shimmer - Feud of the Year: Madison Eagles vs. Cheerleader Melissa

Lethalwow.com's Feud of the Year for 2011 goes to Jessicka Havok versus Alica. This feud was one of the highlights for Women Superstars Uncensored (WSU) in 2011, and was picked overwhelming by this year's  Featured Panelists and Fan Panelists.

This feud started at WSU's 4th Anniversary show (March 5,2011), when Jessicka attacked Alicia during her WSU Championship match against Mercedes Martinez. Havok hit Alicia with the WSU World Championship, which led to the match ending in a No Contest. Alicia did not take being screwed out of the WSU Championship lightly, and the ladies went on to battle on April 2, 2011, at WSU and NWS's King & Queen Of The Ring 2011. The match ended in a Double Disqualification. After the match, Alicia challenged Havok to an Uncensored Rules Match at WSU's Uncensored Rumble IV Internet Pay-Per-View. Before the Pay-Per-View, Alicia teamed up with Mercedes Martinez on April 3, 2011 at Indy Mania, where they defeated the team of Havok and Brittney Savage.

On June 25, 2011, at the Uncensored Rumble, Jessicka Havok defeated Alicia, when Alicia's mother threw in the towel so this match could end. The ladies went on to battle in a No Holds Barred Last Man Standing main-event match on August 8, 2011 for WSU. This time, Jessicka introduced the world to The Midwest Militia---a faction consisting of Havok, Sassy Stephie, and Allysin Kay.The match ended in a No Contest, with Mercedes Martinez and Brittney Savage coming to the aid of Alicia, due to The Midwest Militia. This led to November 19, 2011, where The Midwest Militia (Allysin Kay, Jessicka Havok & Sassy Stephie) defeated Team WSU (Alicia, Brittney Savage & Mercedes Martinez), in a War Games Steel Cage Match.

Featured Panelist Picks:

Jessicka Havok vs. Alicia... "This was the definition of hatred. What made this even more significant, was the on going battle between the veterans vs. the up and comers. I was glad to witness one of their matches in person." - @LV5454

Jessica Havok vs Alicia... "These women had one of the most intense fueds I have seen... left and right they were having hardcore matches and I quit matches, hands down the best fued." - @BlackRoseSyx

Karen Jarrett vs. Velvet Sky... "as this was helping establish Sky as the top face of the Knockouts. Jarrett was hated enough to be archenemy of Sky here, and for a while it worked." - @hittheropes

Karen Jarrett v the Knockouts... "Karen Jarrett vs. the Knockouts has been pretty interesting. I have not been a fan of the constant title changes, but I think its brought some interesting stories and matches. Plus I love Traci’s face when she looks like she wants to kill Karen!" - @martibelle

Jessicka Havok vs. Alicia... "Ya damn right! it deserves Feud of the Year, heck I wish I could write this in blood. These women showed true hatred towards each other and every time these women went at in the ring you could feel it. When they wrestled into the crowd I was scared and so was everybody else.  I saw grown men hide behind women so they could get out the path of their brawls... ha I even jumped on top of my merch table. " - @gimicks247

Jessika Havok vs. Alicia... "This is not WWE, bitch you can't write this stuff! twitter wars, street fights, cage matches, cursing, family members getting involved. Jessika Havok has been making waves for herself and it would never had happen if she had not jump in Alicia's pool .... this was legit to much drama for your momma! Honorable mention goes to Melina vs. Gail Kim. WWE miss the boat with those two big time! " - @theboydiva

Subcategory Winners:
TNA - Match of the Year: Gail Kim vs. Mickie James (12/29/11 - Impact Wrestling -Main Event)

Angel Orsini vs Mercedes Martinez
Mercedes vs. Angel Orsini:
"WSU - Match of the Year"
Lethalwow.com's Match of the Year for 2011 goes to Mercedes Martinez vs. Angel Orsini, which took place on January 22, 2011, at WSU's The Final Chapter Internet Pay-Per-View . That night, Orsini and Martinez battled in a Winner Takes All Ladder match, where the WSU All Guts No Glory Title and WSU World Title were on the line. This match was most-picked by this year's panelists.

There were many fantastic matches in 2011.... Many coming from Shimmer and Chikara Pro Wrestling, that would be worthy of Match of the Year. Mercedes Martinez also had numerous matches under consideration for Match of the Year; which included her 73-minute match against Lexxuss, and the War Games Steel Cage Match. Despite the tough competition, Orsini vs Martinez had years of history behind it like no other. The significance of the match, and the buzz it generated put it on top, not-to-mention, Mercedes and Orsini put their bodies on line in one of the most intense women's matches in history. This is not the first time Mercedes on Angel won Match of the Year at Lethalwow.com... The ladies earned the award in 2009 after their historic 60-minute Iron Woman match. Mercedes Martinez vs. Angel Orsini also wins for 2011 WSU Match of the Year.

Gail Kim vs Mickie James
Gail Kim vs. Mickie James (12/29/11):
"TNA - Match of the Year"
This year, the Shimmer Match of the Year goes to Cheerleader Melissa vs Madison Eagles on October 2, 2011, during the taping of SHIMMER Volume 44. This match generated the most buzz on the internet, and had the most significance of any Shimmer match in 2011. Without even being released on DVD, this match received the most votes of any Shimmer match from this year's fan panelists. And rightfully so, Cheerleader Melissa becoming Shimmer Champion, was one of the highlights of the year (Top 25 Ranking of 2011 – #10: Cheerleader Melissa).

Layla vs. Michelle McCool
(Extreme Rules 2011):
"WWE - Match of the Year"
2011's TNA Match of the Year goes to Gail Kim vs. Mickie James, on the December 29, 2011 episode of Impact Wrestling. Anytime the Knockouts were given the Main Event spot over the years, they delivered... Gail Kim and Mickie James certainly delivered in their TNA Women's Knockout Championship match. While this was not a clean finish, these two showed why they were two of the top female wrestlers in the United States.

2011's WWE Match of the Year goes to Michelle McCool vs. Layla, which took place on May 1, 2011, at World Wrestling Entertainment's Extreme Rules Pay-Per-Vew. This match was the most significant match for the WWE Divas in 2011; it generated the most buzz online; and Layla and Michelle put on a hell of a match. While Layla and Michelle's feud came abruptly, this match saw the end LayCool (2010 - Tag-Team of the Year)---The duo that was the focus of the WWE Divas Division for the past few years, and it was McCool's last match in the WWE. The match which was billed a "Loser Leaves WWE," which saw Layla pin Michelle for a shocking win. In reality, Michelle retired from the business--an abrupt end to a woman who went from a Diva search contestant, to a great wrestler. The end of this match saw the much anticipated debut of Kharma aka Awesome Kong, where Michelle McCool received a devastating "Implant Buster" on her way out.

Featured Panelist Picks:

Mercedes Martinez vs. Angel Orsini (Ladder Match)... "I think one of my friends said it best, this match was a mixture of HBK vs. Ramon and Danielson vs. McGuiness wrapped into one. This match gave my male friends something to talk about for a long time. A pure classic." - @LV5454

Mercedes Martinez vs Lexxus... "In August, both Martinez and Lexxus had a 73 minute match that was simply phenominal, Lexxus came so close by lasting that long and they both brought everything they had to the table." - @BlackRoseSyx

Mercedes Martinez vs. Angel Orsini (Ladder Match)... "Angel Orsini vs. Mercedes Martinez in a Ladder Match for WSU in January. This was the final chapter (at least for now), in the rivalry that was Orsini and Martinez... they truly put a great cap on it in this brutal encounter." - @hittheropes

The Midwest Militia vs. Team WSU... "For those of you that missed WSU’s debut in NY (at the NYWC arena in Deer Park, LI), you missed what many called a scary, exciting and amazing match; Team WSU (Mercedes Martinez, Alicia & Britney Savage) vs The Midwest Militia (Jessicka Havok, Allysin Kay & Sassy Stephie) closed Breaking Barriers II, in the first ever women’s Wargame match. The match in itself was brutal and just jaw dropping, the end saw Jessicka literally hold up a machete to Martinez’s throat until Savage said “I quit” to stop the madness. But, that wasn’t all; Mercedes was carried out on a stretcher and faced career ending injuries. WHAT THE HECK?!" - @martibelle

Mercedes Martinez vs. Angel Orsini (Ladder Match)... "Better than men!...  Yes to me this match was way better than a lot of Ladder Matches traditionally done by men. These two women gave you there all and really wanted to win, to show who was the better wrestler and champion.  I will admit this category was very tough, as Lexxus vs. Mercedes is one of my favorites as well.  Shout out to Lexxus from the Boston Shore!" - @gimicks247

Jessika Havok vs Alicia - June 25th 2011 (WSU)... "In an uncensored rules match, these women beat the tar out of each other! It would have been a fight to the death had Alicia's mother not infamously thrown in the towel ...this was nothing but a brutal act of violence." - @theboydiva
