On the December 11, 2009 episode of Smackdown, Mickie James and Maria teamed up to take on WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool and Layla.

December 11, 2009 – Smackdown Divas Match:
Mickie James & Maria vs. Michelle McCool & Layla
—On the heels of Maria’s return last week, in which she came to the aid of Mickie James (WWE Divas – December 4, 2009 Smackdown Results). The ladies officially went at it against Layla and McCool in a tag team match. This was a short match, with Maria on the defensive against Michelle McCool to start. Maria was able to turn the match around with a headscissors takedown on McCool, followed by an immediate tag to Mickie James. Michelle wanted none of Mickie, who proceeded to get nice offense on Layla. Layla eventually fell victim to a schoolboy roll up.

Winner(s): Mickie James & Maria at 1:56

—This month, Lethalwow will like to put the spotlight on Becky Bayless, who is widely known as a manager and interviewer in ROH and SHIMMER. Becky also made a name for herself as a staple in Women Superstars Uncensored. Among the highlights of her career is a feud against Mickie James in Ring of Honor, epic battles against Alicia and a cameo appearance on the June 5, 2008 edition of TNA Impact as a candidate for Awesome Kong’s $25,000 Fan Challenge.

Becky Bayless is one of those girls that has busted her butt in the independent scene for many years, which got her some payoff, as she tried out for the WWE in November. Becky also had the opportunity to be featured on WWE.com in a “SmackDown After the Bell” segment with Slam Master J.
