Stacy Carter began her wrestling career as
a valet in the independent circuit. Promotions Stacy worked
for included Tennessee's Power Pro Wrestling, National Wrestling
Alliance and Music City Wrestling. Stacy often went by the
name "Lovely Stacy," and became the real life girlfriend of
Jerry "The King" Lawler.
In August 1999, Stacy made her WWE debut, on Raw, under the
name "Miss Kitty." Jeff Jarrett, "hired"
her as Debra
McMichael's "assistant." Miss Kitty became engulfed in
Jeff Jarrett's feuds, most notably, his feud against Chyna
(Joan Marie Laurer). On October 17, 1999 at No Mercy (1999),
Miss Kittie's ties to Jarrett ended, and she began to valet
for Chyna.
Like with Jarrett, Miss Kitty became engulfed
in Chyna's feuds. The WWE later got Miss
Kitty involved in the Women's Division. In December 1999,
at Armageddon, in a Four Corners Evening Gown Pool match,
Miss Kitty defeated Ivory
to become WWF Women's Champion. After the match, Miss Kitty
flashed her breasts to the crowd. Miss Kitty then changed
her name to "The Kat."
The Kat was not a fighting champion, and
only competed in T&A contests and matches. On the January
31, 2000, episode of Raw, "The Kat," lost the title in a "Lumberjill
Snowbunny match."
After her title reign, The Kat began a feud
against valet Terri Runnels. The two ladies
went on the have a match booked as a "catfight," at WrestleMania
2000. The ladies also wrestled at SummerSlam 2000, in a "Thong
Stink Face."
In September 2000, The Kat married Jerry Lawler, and continued to appear was a WWF Diva, into 2001. Early in 2001, she began a feud against WWE stable, "Right to Censor," whicn included WWF Women's champ, Ivory. On February 27, 2001, The Kat was released from the WWE, and the storyline was cut short. Real-life husband, Jerry Lawler, quit the WWE because of her release. Stacy appeared on the independent circuit briefly, after her release, and separated from Lawler in July 2001.
