Cheerleader Melissa (Melissa Anderson) - Biography
Melissa Anderson was born on August
17, 1983 and is a second generation wrestler.
Her father is wrestler and announcer Doug
Anderson and she is also the niece of Billy
Anderson, who was often the tag-team partner
of Doug Anderson. Following in her father's
footsteps, Melissa began training (which
included training from Christopher Daniels)
and made her wrestling debut on August 17,
1999 on her 17th birthday against Lexie
Fyfe. She then continued wrestling
and valeting on the independent circuit
under the name "Cheerleader Melissa".
On January 6, 2008 at TNA Final Resolution,
Gail Kim and Awesome Kong battled in a No-DQ
Match for the TNA Knockout's title. During
the match, commentators announced that Awesome
Kong had an "associate" in attendance.
The iMPACT! that followed on January 10,
2008, Awesome Kong was accompanied by this
mystery associate who was dressed in an
Burqa (only revealing her eyes). The night,
Awesome Kong defeated Gail Kim to capture
the TNA Women's title and rumors went rapid
online that the mystery woman had a huge
resemblance to Cheerleader Melissa.
On the January 24th 2008 edition of iMPACT!,
the mystery woman accompanied Kong under
the name "Saeed". A week later, in
a backstage interview, she spoke, issuing
a statement from Awesome Kong, she was referred
to as Kong's adviser and called herself
Raisha Saeed. On the Febrary 14th edition of iMPACT!, Raisha was attacked on two occasions, during a Kong vs ODB street fight, first by ODB and then by Gail Kim. Awesome Kong saved Raisha on both occasions. On the February 28th episode of iMPACT!, during an Awesome Kong vs Angelina Love match, the commentators devolved Raisha's character stating that she trained in the dojo's of Japan with Awesome Kong, which acknowledged that she was a wrestler. In a backstage segment the following week, she issued a statement from Kong towards Salinas, ODB and Gail Kim. After the segment, she was harassed by LAX's Homicide, and Kong once again came to her rescue.
