WWE.com has released some exclusive details regarding the Divas’ Championship match at WrestleMania 30. The Vickie Guerrero Invitational was announced on Raw – and AJ Lee would be defending her title against The Bella Twins, The Funkadactyls, Natalya, Layla, Alicia Fox, Eva Marie, Aksana, Rosa Mendes and Tamina Snuka. WWE.com is now reporting that the match will be one fall to a finish – and that AJ does not have to be pinned to lose the title. This clears up some confusion and eliminates other possibilities such as a gauntlet or a battle royal. Read about more news below after the cut:
The next Diva to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame – Lita – announced some more big news this week. The person who will be inducting her is none other than last year’s inductee – Trish Stratus. Over on NXT, the stable of Beautiful Fierce Females might be getting a new member. Recently Summer Rae, the original founder of the group, has been unable to appear at the NXT tapings. Coupling that with her main roster career starting to take off, a replacement could be on the way. Developmental Diva Alexa Bliss teamed with Sasha Banks and Charlotte in a 6-Diva tag match at NXT’s live event on Friday. They lost to Paige, Emma and Bayley. Alexa (real name: Lexi Kaufman) has been appearing on NXT television in bit parts since last summer but she could possibly be making the jump to a proper role. She first received an additional amount of fans when leaked footage from a promo class showed her playing the girlfriend of redneck Scott Dawson. Although she doesn’t seem to be continuing with that character, fans have been awaiting her debut ever since.
TNA Knockout Brittany (real name: Santana Garrett) asked on Twitter for thoughts and prayers for her father several hours ago. She later revealed that he had suffered a stroke. Thankfully she later tweeted
“My dad had a stroke but is showing GREAT progress.
Your THOUGHTS & PRAYERS are working!
THANK YOU <3”
We wish Kenny Garrett a speedy recovery.
