Top 25 Ranking of 2013 – #4:

This year, Kaitlyn ranks #4 on Lethalwow.com’s Annual Top 25 Ranking. This is first time Kaitlyn has been in the Top 10 of the ranking…

kaitlyn divas championKaitlyn ended 2012 chasing Eve Torres and her precious Divas’ Championship. After weeks of intentional disqualifications and count-outs, Kaitlyn finally got her moment – on the 20th Anniversary of Raw in her hometown of Houston, Texas. She was able to finally defeat Eve to win the title – and Eve ended up quitting WWE in a rage as a result. Kaitlyn went on to notch several strong title defenses against Natalya, Tamina Snuka and AJ Lee. As the summer began, Kaitlyn began receiving messages from a secret admirer. As the weeks went on, she began alienating the rest of the Divas – who had grown suspicious of the admirer’s identity. Finally the admirer was eventually revealed on Raw – it had all been a trick by Kaitlyn’s former friend AJ Lee. AJ had intended it as revenge for supposedly ‘leaving her behind’ to chase the title the previous year. The match between them at the Payback event became very heated. Sadly Kaitlyn’s emotions got the better of her and she ended up submitting to AJ’s Black Widow. aj lee vs kaitlynAJ would continue to play mind games with Kaitlyn after taking the Divas’ title – but Kaitlyn showed she could fire back with mind games of her own. The stage was set for her rematch at Money In The Bank, but she lost to AJ. She suffered another setback when her friend Layla was also revealed to be in cahoots with AJ. Despite all of this, she allied herself with AJ’s jilted boyfriend Dolph Ziggle. A mixed tag match took place at SummerSlam, against AJ and Big E Langston. Kaitlyn and Dolph were victorious.

After the summer, Kaitlyn disappeared from television for a few weeks. She eventually returned, competing on Superstars and Main Event. She found herself on the same team as AJ at the Survivor Series, competing against the Total Divas cast. Although Kaitlyn was able to eliminate Eva Marie and Naomi, she herself was eliminated by Brie Bella.

Her amazing year saw her ranked #5 on Pro Wrestling’s Illustrated‘s Female 50 of 2013, nominated for “Diva of the Year” at World Wrestling Entertainment’s 2013 Slammy Awards, and much more. .

The Blossom Twins (Hannah & Holly Blossom)

The Blossom Twins

—The quirky and bubbly Blossom Twins saw an increase in exposure at the beginning of 2013. Along with “Party” Marty Scurll and Rockstar Spud, they were announced as participants for TNA’s new reality show British Boot Camp. In contrast to the two males, the twins competed on the show for a spot as a tag team in the Knockouts’ division. During the show they made their return to Ohio Valley Wrestling, successfully defeating Taeler Hendrix and Josette Bynum. On the show’s finale, the twins received a tag team match against Gail Kim and Madison Rayne – that ended when Gail Kim pinned Hannah holding onto her tights. Rockstar Spud was ultimately chosen as the winner of the contest – but Dixie Carter informed the twins and Marty that TNA would be keeping an eye on them throughout the year.

blossom twins british boot campThe Blossoms made additional appearances for TNA throughout 2013. At the UK tapings in February, they teamed with Marty to face Gail Kim, Jesse and Knockouts’ Champion Tara in a 6-person tag match in a losing effort. Hannah also competed at the Knockouts’ Knockdown PPV, defeating Taeler Hendrix and Sojo Bolt in a triple threat match. As a result, she advanced to the gauntlet in the main event where she was the first eliminated by Gail Kim. She also competed for another One Night Only PPV, where she was defeated by Lei’D Tapa. Hannah also later appeared answering an open challenge from Gail Kim which she lost.

The twins also competed regularly in OVW against the likes of Lei’D Tapa, Heidi Lovelace, Taeler Hendrix and Nikki St John. In September, both sisters competed in a Fatal-4-Way ladder match for the OVW Women’s title – also including Lei’D Tapa and Taeler Hendrix. Hannah won and became OVW Women’s Champion for the third time. She held the title for seventeen days, before losing it to Lei’D Tapa.

Kaitlyn at number 4? Great ranking for her

    • Bobby Calloway

Yeah she didn’t end the year on the highest note but she did very well in the first half. Most people I train with love her haha

      • BigBoss25

Haha wow. Too bad, she asked for a release. Maybe she felt that creative weren’t doing much for her, but I don’t blame her one bit.

  • BorisG

Great for Kaitlyn. Sadly this might be her last rating in wrestling, because she left. She could have had more successful years.
