
David McLane’s WOW! Women of Wrestling returned on January 19, 2013 after a 10 year hiatus. With the return, numerous WOW! originals returned as well, including Jade (Jennifer Lee Chan), Jungle Grrrl (Erica Porter), Caged Heat and more. Most notably, was Lana Star (Profile & Pictures)—real name Lana Kinnear, now the WOW World Champion.
@REALLANASTAR called in to talk about WOW! Women of Wrestling, her acting and modelling career, her WWE appearance (with Christy Hemme, Candice Michelle, Stacy Kiebler & more), Playboy, appearing in Iron Man, and much more. Here is the interview…
Here are some highlights from the Interview:
–On the new WOW! Women of Wrestling Talent, Lana praised Spike and Frost (Janeshia Adams-Ginyard), and goes on to say that “Everybody is pretty amazing. I think that this round of girls… the new girls are pretty much more athletic” than “the old WOW. They are really good.”
–Lana also praised the WOW Tag-Team Champions Amber O’Neal and Santana Garret saying that “It’s really great having them there.” “I had actually worked on a show previously with Amber… so I was was really happy when I found out that she was coming.” Lana noted Amber’s vast experience in the business, which of course is an asset to the company. Lana hinted that there will possibly be more wrestlers headed WOW’s way.
–Lana spoke about how working for WOW! Women of Wrestling came, and noted that her most memorable moment from the original run was the “WOW Unleashed” Pay-Per-View. At the PPV—In a Hair vs. Hair Match, was Lana Star and Patti Pizzazz versus Ice Cold and Poison, instead, this turned into a handicap match for Lana.
–Lana talked about Selina Majors and Peggy Lee Leather aka “Thug” returning as the WOW trainers, with details on the training process for the WOW Girls.
–Lana talks about being a fan of Shawn Michaels, The Hart Foundation, Sable, Sunny and more.
–Also discussed was Trish Stratus, with Lana being happy about Trish’s WWE induction.
–Lana Kinnear gives insight on her WWE Raw appearance with Chris Jericho, where she ended up competing in a WWE Divas Limbo contest with Stacy Keibler, Christy Hemme, Candice Michelle, Maria Kanellis, and Melina Perez…
–Lana discussed her appearance in Iron Man, and meeting Robert Downey Jr.
