A few backstage segments with Vickie Guerrero led to AJ Lee being tossed back into the Divas Division. Vickie notified AJ that she would face The Glamazon Beth Phoenix later on the show…
WWE Divas – October 29, 2012 RAW Match: AJ Lee vs. Beth Phoenix
—This match saw AJ Lee pin Beth Phoenix with a quick roll-up. We had a few seconds to be angry at Beth apparently being jobbed, before Vickie Guerrero made her way out to the ramp. The distraction led to Beth attacking AJ from behind. Beth Phoenix then hit the Glam Slam on AJ for the 1-2-3…
After the match, AJ was seen backstage, as John Cena cheered her up. AJ looked smitten by Cena, as Vickie Guerrero spied on them in the background. The segment also saw Beth Phoenix approach Vickie Guerrero to thank her for restarting the match. Unfortunately for Beth Phoenix, Vickie then fired her…
Later, in a WWE.com Exclusive, Beth Phoenix said her farewell to fans…
Thoughts: Firstly, great continuity in AJ’s storyline with John Cena. From the AJ and Vickie backstage segments, to John and Vickie in the ring, to AJ facing Beth Beth… this was all well done. AJ will no doubt continue to be the most pushed woman in the WWE.
Unfortunately, this may have been Beth Phoenix’s last match in the WWE. As reported weeks ago (Beth Phoenix retirement rumor hits the Internet), Beth Phoenix has been reported to be on her out of the WWE. Vickie Guerrero firing Beth on Raw may have very well been her write-off of WWE programming.

Sad to see her go, but all indications has pointed to Beth asking for her release. I don’t see her in TNA anytime soon though.
