TNA Knockouts – October 25, 2012 iMpact Results: Tara takes down Tessmacher in a Bound For Glory rematch
Posted on Saturday, October 27th, 2012 by Charlie F
On the October 25, 2012 episode of iMpact Miss Tessmacher faced off against Tara in a Bound for Glory rematch.
-We start off with a video package from Tara’s title win at Bound for Glory. Tessmacher then says how waiting for this rematch has felt like an eternity, though she found it humorous that Jesse got manhandled by ODB last week.
-We head backstage again to find that Tara and Jesse are talking to Brooke Hogan, Tara and Jesse are both visibly upset with ODB’s antics from last week. Brooke tells her to get her head in the game that she has a title defense against Tessmacher coming up tonight. Tara walks away flustered and Brooke lets Jesse know that a little bird told her that ODB has her eyes on him.
TNA Knockouts – October 25, 2012 iMpact Match: Miss Tessmacher vs Tara for the Knockouts Championship
-Tessmacher doesn’t wait for the bell or for Tara to get in the ring and drop kicks her right out of the ring. Tara call for her baby to take her belt and Tessmacher is all over her like white on rice. Jesse tries to help his woman and tessmacher kicks him away before getting a one count. Tessmacher keeps her pressure up and Jesse distracts her allowing Tara to start taking control. Tara grounds Tessmacher and slams her former BFF’s face off the canvas. Tara slams Tessmacher down, gets a kiss from her ‘boo’ and because of that distraction misses a somersault leg drop. Tessmacher again takes control with some stiff chops and then some nice brisk clotheslines and then her signature butt bump before landing an awesome sit out facebuster from the corner. Tara grabs onto Taryn Terell as Tessmacher goes running off the ropes, however Jesse grabs the middle rope and Tessmacher takes a sick fall. Jess picks her up and throws her into the ring, right into Tara’s Widows Peak for the three count.
Winner: And still Knockouts Champion Tara.
-Post match Tara and Jesse celebrate…until Brooke Hogan comes out and announces that ODB has already called and asked for match the next week for Open Fight Night…against JESSE! Tara and Jesse obviously are not at all happy about this.
Thoughts: Another solid match from Tara and Brooke Tessmacher. While it wasn’t as impressive as their Bound for Glory match it did tell a nice story and both Tara and Tessmacher come off a two women really fighting for something important. Tara has this comedic hollywood obsessed air head down to a tee and Tessmacher just continues to shine as the plucky underdog. ODB’s involvement in all this is a little strange, but so is the fact that this was booked as Championship Thursday and TNA still chooses to ignore the Knockouts Tag Team Championships. Overall yet another good night for the TNA Knockouts.
Welcome back Charlie. Great job. It looks like we are definitively headed towards Tara & Jessie versus ODB and Eric Young. Maybe at the next Pay-Per-View? or maybe Tara vs ODB?… she did indeed pin her last week on Impact.
Still not a fan of TNA’s no male on female violence policy, so ODB vs Jessie will be watered down a bit too much, unfortunately. TNA has not done inter gender competing any justice in the past few years.
