Vickie Guerrero and AJ Lee

On the October 22, 2012 episode of WWE RAW, AJ Lee’s time as the General Manager of Raw came to an end. We also saw the two top contenders for the WWE Divas Championship attack Eve Torres backstage.

Before Raw, AJ Lee tweeted; “Been called to an emergency meeting with the WWE Board of Directors at #WWE Global HQ. #Confused #RAW,” which led to major changes on Raw…

WWE Divas – October 22, 2012 Segment:
AJ Lee Resigns as Raw General Manager, Vickie Guerrero appointed as Managing Supervisor

—On Raw, we saw AJ Lee resign, due to allegations of “fraternizing with a Superstar on the roster.” The segment with Vince McMahan, saw a very emotional speech from AJ Lee. Vince later announced Vickie Guerrero as the the Managing Supervisor. By the end of the segment, AJ was free to put her hands on Vickie Guerrero, to the delight of all us fans…

Later on the show, we got yet another Catfight….

WWE Divas – October 22, 2012 RAW Backstage Segment:
Eve Torres, Kaitlyn, and Layla El

Eve Torres was seen backstage on the phone—gossiping about AJ, when Kaitlyn approached from behind. Kaitlyn accused Eve of setting-up the attack on her at WWE Night of Champions, and showed her a photo of the evidence—apparently an email, that she captured on Eve’s ipad on last week’s Smackdown! (WWE Divas – October 19, 2012 Smackdown Results). A few choice words from Kaitlyn to Eve led to Eve slapping the holy hell out of Kaitlyn. This led to a catfight, in which Layla attempted to break-up. After pulling Kaitlyn off-of Eve, Layla was shoved by Eve, prompting Layla to renege on playing peacemaker. A two-on-one attack on Eve led to referees quickly having to break-up the conflict…

We also got a backstage segment from AJ Lee—post-resignation, where Santino Marella tried to cheer her up. Cue in John Cena, where it was revealed that he was the reason for her resignation. The two then embraced. Later on, John Cena confronted Vince McMahan and later Vickie Guerrero, in what seems to be AJ’s next angle…

Thoughts: Sad to see AJ Lee’s time as General Manager come to its end, however, we all knew it would eventually run its course. Sooner–than–later… her run might have lasted longer than expected for most. AJ has been Raw GM since the July 23, 2012 edition of WWE Raw—Raw’s 1,000th Episode (WWE Raw 1,000th Episode – WWE Divas Results). And of course, as usually, great mic work by Vickie Guerrero and AJ Lee.

Does this mean more of AJ Lee in the Divas Division?… Most likely not full time. WWE most likely has weeks of storyline still planned for AJ. How far will we see things go between her and Cena?

With the Division, we got follow up from Smackdown, which led to a backstage catfight. Fun stuff. Which hopefully means a Triple Threat a WWE Hell in a Cell 2012.

Triple Threat that’s what we need for the Divas and AJ resigning was sad but i think she will continue to be in the male’s division.

I hope AJ will get back to the ring now that she has resigned…Vickie would be a more interesting choice for GM imo. Good segment between Layla, Kaitlyn, and Eve….Eve plays her character really well…they’ll probably have a triple threat match at HIAC.

I am sure AJ will… WWE will easily have Vickie put her in matches as punishment, or Cena/AJ mixed Tag matches. And yes, Eve Torres has really stepped up on the acting side of things.
