On the October 11, 2012 episode of Impact Wrestling, TNA Knockouts Champion Miss Tessmacher took on Gail Kim…
Backstage, VP of the Knockouts Brooke Hogan was talking to Knockouts referee Taryn Terrell. Tara showed up with a list of requests she wanted Brooke to implement after she became Knockouts Champion—put together by her “Hollywood boyfriend,” which included a green room for himself, as he would be attending Bound for Glory 2012. Unfortunately for Tara, Brooke Hogan ripped up the list…
It was announced that Knockouts Champion Miss Tessmacher would be facing Gail Kim on the show.
Knockouts – October 11, 2012 Impact Wrestling Match:
Gail Kim vs. Miss Tessmacher
—Gail Kim made her way to the ring first for this match, followed by Knockouts Champion Brooke Tessmacher. Before the bell, Gail kicked Brooke to the chest, followed by stomps to Tessmacher. The aggressive offense continued in the moments that followed, with Kim not giving Brooke any chance to recover. Brooke attempted a comeback, after pulling Kim off the ropes, and hitting a flying head-scissors; however, it was not to be, Kim was able to regain control of the match, and dominate throughout. After being on defense for some time, Tess was finally able to gain her footing in the match, with a slingshot to Kim into the corner ropes. The end of this match saw the ladies counter each other a few times, but in the end, Tess was able to hit the Tess-shocker for the win…
Winner: Brooke Tessmacher at 5:32
After the match, Tara attacked Miss Tessmacher.
Despite catching Brooke Tessmacher off-guard, Brooke was able to escape the Window’s Peak, and then plant Tara with the Tess-Shocker. Brooke then stood over Tara with the Knockouts Championship, with choice words for Tara.
Thoughts: Excellent match by Gail Kim and Miss Tessmacher. This was top-notch action, with the usual great chemistry from these two, and a very hot crowd. Despite seeing these two feud in the past, the ladies were able to keep things fresh. Even Brooke’s seemingly botched finisher was forgivable after such an incredible match.
Despite the loss, Gail Kim looked strong. Which is very important, as she was the reigning Knockouts Champion for the majority of 2012.
Tara’s run-in was also done very well, with an interesting outcome, as Brooke Tessmacher ended up getting the upper hand. Nice booking by TNA, which leaves us interesting in seeing these two go at it at Bound for Glory 2012.
