On the October 8, 2012 episode of WWE Raw, Kaitlyn (Biography) returned to action, challenging WWE Divas Champion Eve Torres for the belt…

Eve Torres was seen backstage, making her way to the ring for this match…

WWE Divas – October 8, 2012 Raw Match:
WWE Divas Championship
Eve Torres vs. Kaitlyn

—Former WWE Divas champion Layla was seen at the commentary table, followed by Eve Torres making her way to the ring. Micheal Cole ran down the events leading up to this match, followed by the challenger Kaitlyn making her way to the ring. Aggressive tie-up into the ropes, followed by a hip-toss by Kiatlyn. Kaitlyn then hit her running shoulder block on Eve, followed by more offense. Despite Kaitlyn’s aggressive offense, she seemed to have re-injured her ankle after hitting a back-breaker on Eve. Eve took advantage of this, working on the injured ankle on Kaitlyn. Eve Torres was able to win this match by a submission—capitalizing on Kaitlyn’s injured ankle. …

Winner(s): Eve Torres at 2:35

After the match, Eve refused to break the hold, until Layla made her way to the ring. After the fact, Eve Torres seemed concerned for Kaitlyn, only to get shoved by Layla.

Thoughts: Loved the booking of the match, and the way this story progressed. Eve Torres and Kaitlyn will certainly not get the praise from wrestling purists; however, this was a very enjoyable showing from the two. Eve Torres once again did a great job with her character, and Kaitlyn sold her injury well. It was also great to see an aggressive Layla, who did what was needed on commentary to push the story forward.

The WWE writers have done a great job investing time in an actual story-line for the Divas Division. But what will it take to get the fans fully invested? Could the revelation of Kaitlyn’s attacker put this angle over the top. Hopefully.

Also appearing on WWE Raw, was Naomi, Cameron, Vickie Guerrero, and AJ.

Nice little match and again always good to see Kaitlyn doing moves like back body drops and stuff the other girls wouldn’t be seen doing. She’s always been really good at selling and she sold the ankle very well in the match. Layla was good on commentary though I wish they’d let her and Eve get physical. I know Layla is face but doesn’t mean she can’t go after Eve a bit more, unless they’re holding off on having them really duke it out for a while

I loved the match and it was great how it got lots of offense. Kaitlyn is improving in the ring and the WWE is investing in the Divas though it seems like it getting the fans invested as we saw the fans get into it especially with the “Hoeski” chant. i loved Layla on commentary and i hope we see Layla vs Eve at Hell in a Cell for the Divas Title

It definitely looks like we are getting Eve Torres vs. Layla at WWE Hell in a Cell 2012. Although, despite Kaitlyn already getting her shot, it would be interesting to see a 3-Way, or even a 4-way (including Beth Phoenix), at the Pay-Per-View.

Good match…..way better than the one they had about a month ago. Kaitlyn is improving in the ring, and it’s nice to see her display some good power moves in this match. They will probably have a triple threat match for the title at HIAC, but I’m hoping they would add Beth Phoenix to the mix as well.
