On the September 27, 2012 episode of Impact Wrestling, Tara defeated ODB, to become the #1 contender for the Knockouts Championship…
Backstage, Brooke Hogan approached Tara, who blatantly disrespecting the VP of the Knockouts, as she talked on the phone with her Hollywood “boyfriend.” Hogan revealed that Tara would wrestle in a #1 contender match, to decide who will face Miss Tessmacher at Bound for Glory 2012…
Nice touch with the Stacy Keibler and George Clooney reference.
Knockouts – September 27, 2012 Impact Wrestling Match: Tara vs. ODB
—Tara‘s music played, and she made her way down to the ring first for this match. Out next, was ODB with Eric Young–the Knockouts Tag-Team Champions. This match pretty much saw Tara get no offense against ODB. The end saw Tara fake a knee injury, only to roll-up ODB, with assistance from the bottom ropes…
Thoughts: Not a fan of this booking. This is not the Tara we need to see. Madison Rayne already has this type of heel work covered. Why would Tara be intimidated, or get no offense in on a woman she has wrestled and beat countless times? In any case, Bound for Glory 2012 takes place at the Grand Canyon University Arena in Phoenix, Arizona, on October 14, 2012. If Tara defeats Brooke Tessmacher, it would make her a 5-Time Knockouts Champion.
Also on Impact Wrestling, was Indy Wrestler Leva Bates appearing in a backstage segment, assisting Aces N 8s in kidnapping Hulk Hogan & Sting.
—Reports coming from Impact Wrestling, is that former WWE Diva Jillian Hall had a try-out match prior to the show. Jillian was said to have face Tara in the match. In a twitter response to “Was so great to see u in your debut match @Jillianhall1 welcome to TNA,” Jillian responded with “Awww… i had so much fun tonight! thanks .”
