—Raj Giri at WrestlingInc.com, has reported that Beth Phoenix‘s run in the WWE may be coming to an end. Here is what was reported…
WWE Diva Elizabeth Carolan, a.k.a Beth Phoenix, is reportedly finishing up with the company shortly. According to a source, Phoenix will be retiring in October.
Phoenix made her WWE debut in 2006 as an ally to Trish Stratus during her feud with Mickie James. She would go on to hold the WWE Women’s Championship three times, as well as the WWE Diva’s Championship.
Thoughts: If this comes to fruition, it would be very sad. Beth Phoenix despite her countless loses in recent months, is still arguably the mostly marketable Diva currently. Right up there with AJ’s marketability. It is a shame the WWE creative team has not been able to utilize that. Beth Phoenix recently lost to Kaitlyn on the September 14, 2012 episode of WWE Smackdown (September 14, 2012 Smackdown Results), and Eve Torres on this week’s Raw (September 17, 2012 Raw Results). Let us hope this rumor turns out to be false.
