WWE Divas – September 17, 2012 Raw Match: Eve Torres vs. Beth Phoenix
—Beth Phoenix was already in the ring for this match, as Layla was announced as the guest commentator. Eve Torres then made her way to the ring. As the bell rang, Eve Torres put her hand out for a handshake, in which Beth refused to comply with. The ladies then tied-up, with Beth shoving Eve to the mat. When Eve got to her feet, she attempted a headlock on Beth, in which Beth powered out of. Eve could not get a good offense going, as Layla talked about Kaitlyn mysteriously being taken out of the Night of Champions Divas match, and losing to Eve. The finish of this match came abruptly, as Beth picked Eve up to attempt a move, only for Eve to counter out of it, and roll Beth up for the win…
Winner(s):Eve Torres at 1:39
After the match, Eve Torres flaunted the WWE Divas Championship in Layla’s face.
Thoughts: Like on WWE Smackdown, it is unfortunate to see Beth job once again. Unlike with WWE Night of Champions, this match was not very good. On the bright side, Eve Torres did play her role well, and Layla on commentary served its purpose of furthering this storyline, which could see Layla get a rematch in the near future. It should be interesting to find out who attacked Kaitlyn.

Okay based off of what happened in the past few days; these are the things that need to be done:
1) The “mystery” attacker needs to revealed
2) Kaitlyn DESERVES her title match (regardless of the botch)
3) Layla DESERVES an IMMEDIATE title rematch
and finally…
4) HOW MUCH LONGER IS EVE GOING TO BE A HEEL?!!!
Her new role in WWE is stupid, generic, and complety UNCONSCIONABLE.
WWE Creative Team NEEDS to make these changes come true; one way or another.

The “mystery” attacker is an angle that definitely needs to be pushed. Right now it seems the focus is Layla getting her rematch. Kaitlyn can easily be added back to the mix, and we could get a 3-Way Per Per View match.
IMO, Eve plays her role great as a heel, although, her move-set as a babyface is nice to watch.
Hope to hear more of your opinions in the future.

This match was so short…now that RAW is on for 3 hours, divas’ matches should be a whole lot longer than this.
