On the September 3, 2012 episode of WWE Raw, Eve Torres faced Kaitlyn, and Vickie Guerrero got some revenge on AJ…

WWE Divas – September 3, 2012 Raw Match:
Kaitlyn vs. Eve Torres

—Eve Torres made her way down the ramp for this match, with Michael Cole and The Miz on commentary. Kaitlyn then made her entrance, with a recap of how Kaitlyn became #1 contender. During the recap, WWE Divas Champion Layla made her way to the commentary table with Cole and Miz. Kaitlyn and Eve went back–and–fort, as The Miz and Layla argued throughout. The Miz praised Eve, while Layla did not buy Eve’s new congenial persona. The finish of this match saw Kaitlyn injured while attempting her running shoulder block. Eve gave Kaitlyn some time to recover; however, Eve hit her neckbreaker for the win moments later…

Winner(s): Eve Torres at 3:11

After the match, Eve Torres helped Kaitlyn up. She then walked over to Layla for a hand shake. The Miz urged Layla to be “a good sport,” and Layla grudgingly shook Eve’s hand.

WWE Divas – September 3, 2012 Raw Segment:
Vickie Guerrero and AJ

—Later on the show, Vickie Guerrero came out to the ring, demanding an apology from AJ for her actions on last week’s episode of Raw (AJ attacks Vickie Guerrero). AJ eventually came to the ring, and noted that the WWE Board of Directors thought that her actions have been inappropriate, and that she is not to put her hands on WWE employees. She came out to apologize to Vickie, as they wished; however, Vickie took full advantage of the situation. This led to Vickie slapping AJ twice in the face…

Vickie made her way back up the ramp, maniacally laughing. This caused AJ to have a break-down in the middle of the ring.

Thoughts: Once again, excellent!, excellent work by Vickie Guerrero and AJ Lee. The segment was great! Vickie Guerrero mocking Clint Eastwood’s rant at the Republican convention was gold, as with the slaps to AJ. Vickie’s laughs as she retreated backstage was the icing on the cake, with AJ’s breakdown the strawberry’s on top.

This segment is the reason these two women are the most over two Divas in the WWE. This segment had wins all over.
Not enough can be said about the amazing success story that is AJ.

As for Eve Torres versus Kaitlyn, the match was underwhelming. Not very good. And the cutaways to Layla and Miz’s argument did not help either… very distracting. Layla has had some memorable mic work in segments with LayCool; however, her mic work as a babyface leaves much to be desired. She is not as compelling as Vickie, AJ, or Eve Torres.

The only plus to the segment, was the development with Eve Torres. Eve’s involvement with Kaitlyn and Layla makes the road to Night of Champions an interesting one. For the mere fact that the WWE has us wondering about Eve’s true intentions.
