WWE Divas – August 24, 2012 Smackdown Match: Layla vs. Alicia Fox
—#1 contender for the Divas Championship Kaitlyn was seen with Micheal Cole, as the guest commentator for the match. Cole congratulated Kaitlyn on her victory on Raw (Kaitlyn wins #1 contender Divas Battle Royal), followed by the camera going to Alicia Fox in the ring. Layla‘s music then hit, and she made her way to the ring. The ladies lockup, into a schoolgirl by Alicia. The ladies went back and fort, trading offense. Mid-match, Alicia kicked Layla in the back of the left knee, as she went up the ropes. She then started to work over Layla’s right leg; however, Layla was able to get a Roundhouse kick for the win…
Winner(s):Layla at 2:05
After the match, Kaitlyn and Layla hugged in the ring. Assistant to General Manager Booker T; Eve Torres then made her way to the ring, raising their hands in the middle of the ring. Kaitlyn and Layla were confused by Eve’s actions.
Thoughts: Layla and Alicia Fox did a really good job in the match. Nice wrestling, for the 2 minutes they got. Layla seemed to be back on her game. It is good that the WWE is actually giving us some build to Kaitlyn vs. Layla. Not an original booking in a face vs. face scenario, but still great to see. The involvement of Eve Torres was interesting. Could we actually get some sort of storyline twist here?
i think Eve might be in a triple threat at Night of Champions or Layla vs Kaitlyn happens and then Eve attacks the winner who should be Kaitlyn and then they could have a big fued leading to Eve becoming a 3 time Divas Champions by the end of it.

A Triple Threat match does sound like an interesting possibility. Eve Torres could definitely add some heat to the match.

For the 1st time ever, Alicia’s hair was AMAZING. She should have this style more often.
