Knockouts – August 23, 2012 Impact Wrestling Match:
Tara vs. Brooke Tessmacher

Brooke Tessmacher made her way to the ring, followed by a recap of Tessmacher regaining the Knockouts Championship on last week’s episode of Impact Wrestling (Brooke Tessmacher becomes a 2-Time Knockouts Champion). Brooke talked about last week’s Impact, and proceeded to challenge her “mentor” and “best friend” Tara. Tara (Lisa Marie Varon) made her way to the ring, followed by Knockouts referee Taryn Terrell (Pics & Profile). The ladies began with a lock-up, then went back–and–fort with arm drags and hip-tosses. Despite Tara’s power, Brooke was able to get some offense, and eventually hit her corner faceplant on Tara, she then climbed the top ropes to hit her finisher, as Tara played possum. Tara then hit a suplex off of the ropes, to win the match…

Winner(s): Tara at 2:52

Thoughts: Nice booking by TNA, with the right woman winning. And while this match had sloppy moments, it did not take away from it. Tara sold the mistakes well, as a veteran would. Short match, that hopefully pays off to a much better match.

Claire Lynch TNA—As reported, Claire Lynch has left the company (Julia Reilly TNA Departure). Without being on the show, TNA was able to wrap up the storyline with an in-ring segment involving AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels and Kazarian…

ODB also appeared on the show in a backstage segment, where she left a voicemail to Eric Young.

Sadly, ODB and Eric Young are now the longest reigning Knockouts Tag Team champs in history. If anything, the title should be on the currently most underused knockouts; Sarita and Rosita.
