On the August 16, 2012 episode of Impact Wrestling, Former WWE Diva Taryn Terrell (Tiffany) made her TNA debut, as Brooke Tessmacher became a 2-Time Knockouts Champion…
—Before Impact Wrestling started, a promo was seen with Brooke Hogan during commercials. Brooke Hogan announced that she would be introducing a very special guest to the Knockouts Division.
Unfortunately for Madison Rayne, this was not a celebration of her becoming Knockouts Champion at TNA Hardcore Justice, but Brooke Hogan announcing that Miss Tessmacher would have her rematch against Madison Rayne later on the show, with her special guest, the referee of the match…
Before the match, Madison Rayne and Brooke Tessmacher were seen on split-screen backstage, as it was announced that the match would be next (After commercials)…
Knockouts – August 16, 2012 Impact Wrestling Match: TNA Women’s Knockout Championship Madison Rayne(c) vs. Brooke Tessmacher
—Brooke Tessmacher made her way to the ring first, followed by Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne. Brooke Hogan’s music then hit, and she introduced Taryn Terrell aka WWE Diva Tiffany, as the special referee for the match. The ladies locked up as Madison backed Brooke into a corner. Taryn broke it up, and Brooke returned the favor, with lock-up backing Rayne into a corner. After Taryn pulled Tessmacher off of Madison, Madison got a knee to Tessmacher, and controlled the match in the moments that followed, with numerous offense. Brooke was able to change the pace of the match with a spear, and got some offence of her own on Madison. This was cut short when Madison moved out of the way of a second-rope cross-body block. This led to Madison attempting to cheat with a roll-up, by using of the ropes for leverage. Taryn stopped Madison, to her dismay. As they argued, Brooke hit the Tess-Shocker on Madison for the win…

Thoughts: This was a noteworthy night for the Knockouts, with two segments of the show. Taryn Terrell‘s debut was unexpected. Especially as she has been pursuing a career in acting (See: Taryn Terrell Update). It is unclear whether Taryn will be the full-time referee of the Division, or a Knockout. Frankly, put her with Taeler Hendrix, and add a new team to the Division. The two would complement each other nicely.
Lethalwow.com writer Bobby Calloway wrote a nice column this week, in which he wrote about the potential Taryn Terrell had in the WWE (CLICK HERE TO READ).
We got Brooke Hogan involved both segments—which was a change, since she had primarily only been in backstage segments since her stint as Executive of the Knockouts. She is not perfect, but not horrible by a long shot. She is decent, despite tripping live on television (LOL).
As for the match, it was forgettable. Certainly less stellar than Sunday’s match. Unfortunately, the chemistry between the two is not as good as what we saw with Brooke Tessmacher and Gail Kim.
Brooke Tessmacher is now a 2-Time Knockouts Champion. Madison’s reign lasted 4 days.
Tiffany yay i love her hope she becomes a TNA Knockout and i think she should form a tag team with Mickie James and take the Knockouts Tag Titles to get her started like Tessmacher and Tara and eventually gain the Knockouts Title

I called it!!! I said it, it was going to be another WInter-Mickie-Winter moment, Brooke hogan was going to get involved, rematch and Ms. Tessmacher regains the title, Anytime between Hardocre Justice to Bound For Glory is crazy championship time. I like Tiffany she was spunky, fun, full of energy, she was also really agressive, which is the way the knockouts work most times, i’m all for TNA picking up past divas if their worth it, Tiffany certainly is, Like Brooke, she’ll certainly redeem herself and gain respect amongst wrestling fans.

Yes, lol, your Turning Point predictions, and the follow up, were pretty accurate.

lol can i technically say i called this? I like that Taryn is still continuing with wrestling. even if she’s just a referee for TNA she might start taking indie bookings and wrestling there
Paul
@bobbycalloway:disqus no supposedly she is going to be a Knockout and start out like Mickie did she will become a wrestler and is listed as a Knockout
Paul
and i called this people because i said Brooke Hogan would get involved on Impact and Tessmacher regains

TT does not appeal to me and is a wasted slot when TNA could’ve just hired someone who has not had the WWE-stigma associated with them; someone homegrown.
Madison losing the title was pointless and pathetic. Here they could’ve built Tess up much more with a huge feud where after losing week after week she finally manages to defeat Madison in some gimmick match (like a submission match or something). Would have done wonders for both.
Brooke Hogan has zero personality and I can’t stand faces with no personality. Not only that, she has not done anything noteworthy in the KOs division. Atleast Karen was painted as a humiliating power-hungry/abusing bitch. I have no idea where TNA is going. The KOs division is already WWE-lite (the only active competitor who has not had a run in WWE is Madison).

Personally, I have no issue with former WWE Divas pushed over ” someone homegrown ” in the Knockouts Division. IMO, of the current group of girls, either Tara or Mickie should be holding the Knockouts Championship. Although, Mickie was actually in TNA before the WWE.
I can however relate to your opinion of Taryn being “a wasted slot.” i felt that way with Brooke Tessmacher, and she proved herself. So I am a bit more open minded with Taryn.
As for Brooke Hogan, it comes down to her marketability. TNA believes that she can gain Mainstream exposure for the company, so it makes sense. On that note, they might have felt the same way about Taryn, who was recently in The Campaign movie, and will have a recurring role on this season’s Treme on HBO.
