WWE Divas – August 2, 2012 Superstars Match:
Natalya vs. Layla

—Natalya made her way to the ring first for this match, followed by WWE Divas Champion Layla. The match started with Natalya shoving Layla to the mat, followed by a kick. A slap from Natalya fired Layla up, who proceeded to dominate the match. Layla lost momentum when attempting to baseball slide Natalya who was at ringside. Natalya instead made it so Layla could get caught up in the apron banner. Natalya then took control of the match in the moments that followed; however, Layla was able to hit a roundhouse kick out of no where to pick up the win …

Winner(s): Layla at 4:32

Thoughts: Not a fan of Layla’s perky taunts in this match, but there was some good action here. Layla and Natalya worked great together, and it is a shame that this match could not have been on Raw. Layla has certainly come a long way to be at the level she is at, and is the current Champion… It is a shame that she has not been given a fair shot. The apron spot was definitely something that could have been done on Raw, or a pay-per-view. A spot we don’t’ see often, if ever.
