On June 10, 2012, at the College Park Center in Arlington, Texas, for TNA’s Slammiversary 2012 Pay-Per-View, Brooke Tessmacher challenged Gail Kim for the TNA Women’s Knockout Championship.

—Brooke Tessmacher made her way to the ring first for this Championship match, in her home state of Texas. Champion Gail Kim then made her way to the ring. This match began back–and–fort, but eventually led to Gail Kim dominating with the cockiness we have seen from her all year. The finish of this match saw Gail Kim attempt to hit Tessmacher’s finisher for the win… Brooke instead reversed Gail’s attempt into a roll-up to become Knockouts Champion. Ultimately, Kim’s cockiness was her downfall…

After the match, Christy Hemme interviewed Brooke Tessmacher in the front of the live audience about her win. This was Gail Kim’s second TNA Women’s Knockout Championship reign, which lasted 210 days. Her reign broke the record for longest reigning Knockouts Champion.
