On the April 20, 2012 edition of iMpact Wrestling, Velvet Sky led a team of Knockouts against Gail Kim’s band of rascals.

TNA Knockouts – April 19, 2012 Knockout Match
Gail Kim, Maison Rayne, Sarita & Rosita vs. Tara, Brooke Tessmacher, Mickie James & Velvet Sky

- After a set of intros we shoot to a commercial break. We come back to Velvet Sky and Sarita in the ring together, about to kick off this eight Knockouts match. Velvet takes it to Sarita, but then allows herself to be distracted and tries to attack Knockouts Champion Gail Kim, which only leads to her getting attacked from behind. Sarita tags in Rosita, and lays out Velvet setting up for Rosita to try and hit a Somersault Legdrop, which misses. Velvet with a couple Jawbreakers then a big running Bulldog. Sky again attacks Kim, and again gets attacked from behind. Kim tags herself in and takes down Sky with some hard, fast offense. Gail plays to the crowd, earning some boos and a set of chops and kicks from Sky. Sky tries to go for her In Yo’ Face, but Kim tags in her BFFFFFFFFFFFF Madison Rayne as fast as she can. Velvet takes her down with a Drop Toe Hold and tags in Mickie James. Velvet takes her down with a Snapmare and Mickie hits another sick Baseball Dropkick, before knocking Kim and Sarita off. She then lays out Rayne with a Flapjack. Mickie tries to go up top, only to get thrown throat first into the top rope. Madison tags in Rosita who hits an absolutely SICK Huricarrana Driver for a…two and a half count? Maybe? Obviously it wasn’t a three count as the match keeps going. James recovers with a Hardcore Country Neckbreaker. James tags in Tara as Rosita tags in Sarita. Tara takes control with a couple strikes and a Shoulder Block, before laying Sarita down with a huge Backbody Drop and then into a shimmy-shake standing Moonsault. Rosita tries to break up the pin, but ends up hitting her older cousin instead. Tara tags in her T-n-T tag partner Brooke Tessmacher and the two try to take down Sarita, who reverses it in an awesome show of athletic prowess. Brooke then shows off her own awesome move as she reverses a Twilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker into an Arm Drag. Tessmacher hits a HUGE Monkey Flip Facebuster, but Madison breaks up the three count and Sarita recovers enough to tag in Gail, but Tessamcher takes her out with a set of Clotheslines and then a nice Lifted Facebuster. Tessmacher goes for the three count, but the bad guys come in to break it up, which leads to the good guys attacking them, and everyone, but the two legal women, end up outside the ring. Tessmacher charges Gail in the corner, only for Gail to drop her and tries to secure her feet on the rope, Velvet pushes them off. Gail attacks Velvet and gets rolled up from behind as Brooke catches her second wind. Velvet looks happy. Gail looks pissed. Brooke looks…well…hot.

Winner: Team Velvet at 5:32

Thoughts: LOVED. THIS. MATCH. All 8 women got a chance to show some great moves. Sarita and Brooke stood out the most to me. I don’t really have a match MVP this week, as I think all 8 women did really really well. Rosita with that EPIC Huricarrana Driver. Sarita with that cool off the ropes reversal. Tara with that picture perfect Moonsault. Mickie James with that sick Baseball Slide Dropkick. And they got plenty of time to show what they could do! 5, almost 6 minutes, for one match is more than the WWE Divas get in entire week, across the two main shows anyway. And the ladies didn’t waste a minutes of it. Nice job ladies. Nice job indeed.
