Posted on Monday, February 8th, 2010 by Arron Carlton
This week on Raw, it was officially announced that Maryse and Gail Kim will face off for the WWE Divas Championship at the WWE Elimination Chamber pay per view. On the show, Gail Kim had a warm up match against Jillian, where she defeated her after hitting her “Eat Defeat” finisher.
WWE Divas – February 8, 2010 Raw Match: Gail Kim vs. Jillian
—Before the match, Gail Kim defeating Alicia Fox in the semi-finals for the Divas title was shown as the “WWE Rewind.” Maryse was then seen at the commentators table, followed by Gail and Jillian beginning their match. This was another short Divas match, with Jillian dominating the majority of it, before falling victim to Gail’s finisher. After the match, Maryse got on the mic and entered the ring. Like with last week’s backstage segment, Maryse expressed uncharacteristic sportsmanship, followed by speaking in French.

Only upside is at least they’re getting a title shot at a PPV.I dont understand why they didn’t scrap the match and just have a longer promo between Gail and Maryse.Never known a title match with such a obvious outcome.
Gail being one of the participants should guarantee at least an OK match but Im hoping for slightly more in ring work from Maryse than shes shown since her return.
Chloe… While the majority of fans have already predicted the "obvious outcome," I will use the WWE’s cliche catch phrase…never say never. While Gail has gotten the jobber treatment, with not even getting an entrance in recent weeks, her win over Alicia was used as the wwe slam of the week, and rewind of the week. Why not just show Maryse beating Eve?
As far as a pay per view match, this is great for Gail, who is lacking in pay per view matches.
