Lethalwow Top 25 Ranking of 2009 – #4:
Melina Perez
Melina Perez had a tremendous 2009, as she was pushed as the top babyface on Raw for the majority of the year. Undoubtedly the most innovation and intense WWE Diva in the ring, however, the year came with pitfalls of unbecoming botches and miscues that left stains on her accomplishments.
Melina’s year kicked off in a heated feud with Beth Phoenix. The feud led up to January 25, 2009 at the Royal Rumble, where Melina defeated Beth Phoenix to win the WWE Women’s title. She continued her feud against Beth, and also wrestled the likes of Jillian Hall and Maryse.
On the April 13, 2009 episode of Raw, Melina was drafted to Smackdown in the 2009 WWE Draft. There, she would get in a heated feud against Michelle McCool for the WWE Women’s Championship. On June 28, 2009 at The Bash, Michelle McCool defeated Melina to win the WWE Women’s title. She was later unsuccessful in regaining the title on July 26, 2009 at Night of Champions. Melina and Michelle’s match at Night of Championships turned many heads, and was arguable to best WWE Divas match of the year. Melina continued to be a prominent diva on Smackdown until October. On October 12, 2009, Melina was drafted back to RAW, and defeated Jillian Hall that same night, to win the WWE Divas Championship. Melina continued as champion into 2010, wrestling weekly matches.

Tag Team Top 10 of 2009 – #4:
Jessicka Havok & Hailey Hatred
In 2009, Havok & Hatred solidified their name as one of the best women’s wrestling tag teams in recent years. The ladies made a big impact in Women Superstars Uncensored in 2009, where they defeated Alicia & Brooke Carter to win the WSU tag team titles on August 22, 2009. Later in the year, on November 7, 2009 at ACE Rise II Power, Havok & Hatred lost the titles to Mercedes Martinez & Angel Orsini in an incredible match-up. These girls are powerhouses, and definitely need to be picked up by TNA.
