Bound For Glory Results: Kim Couture Attacks Lisa Varon, Awesome Kong gets screwed, Daffney Barbed Wire Spot, Kristal Marshall & More

At TNA Bound For Glory 2009, TNA Women’s World Champion ODB, and Women’s Tag Team champions Sarita & Taylor Wilde retained their respective titles. ODB retaining was a shocker in itself, however, the story of the night was MMA fighter Kim Couture attacking Tara (Lisa Marie Varon). An appearance of former WWE Diva Kristal Marshall, and Daffney going through bared wire were also highlights.
—TNA KNOCKOUTS TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Taylor & Sarita (c) defeated The Beautiful People (Velvet & Madison), with their double team finisher. With 9 matches on the card, a match or two had to get stiffed on time, and this was it. An extremely short match here. Prior to the Knockouts tag team titles match, both The Beautiful People and Sarita & Taylor cut backstage promos while clean-up of the X-Divisions Ultimate X match went on. The match was an impact quality match, and not worth the price of the pay per view.
—TNA KNOCKOUTS CHAMPIONSHIP ODB (c) defeated Awesome Kong & Tara, in a triple threat match when ODB pinned Awesome Kong. Raisha Saeed served as the catalyst to Kong’s defeat, as ODB used a chair that Raisha slid into the ring to face-plant Kong for the pin.
This was a good match, with potential to have been great if it was not for the storyline distractions. All three women were on their game in the match, and what was seen was booked nicely. In the midst of what was looking to be an awesome match, Kim Couture attacked Tara, taking her out of the match temporarily. Kong and ODB halted in the ring, which was extremely believable, so for many it was a point of confusion. Kong and ODB worked the majority of the ending,
When it was all said and done, the widely predicted direction the TNA Knockouts title (a full blown Tara vs. Kong feud), proved to be incorrect—At least for the moment. It seems that Tara will be working an angle with Kim Couture, and it seems we will be seeing the demise of the partnership of Kong and Raisha.
—Also on the show was an appearance of former WWE Diva Kristal Marshall who was at ringside during the Samoa Joe vs. Bobby Lashley. Daffney was also on the pay per view, she interjected herself into the Monster’s Ball match: Mick Foley vs. Abyss, in which she payed the ultimate price—-She was thrown into bared wires by Abyss—Brutal!.
