Melina Perez…Welcome back to Monday Night Raw!—Your New WWE Divas Champion. Plus Nancy O’Dell, Maria Menounos, and WWE Divas Tri-Brand Trade.

—This week on Raw, we saw the Divas title change hands twice…

WWE Divas Championship Match: Jillian defeating Mickie James, &
WWE Divas Championship Match: Melina defeating Jillian with the “Last Call”

This one was a huge mixed bag, from very bad, to good aspects. Firstly, neither of these were good matches. Melina vs. Jillian for instance was under one minute, with one botched move, followed by a finisher. Mickie vs. Jillian, was nothing to write home about either. As far as wrestling, we can go with bad.

On the booking aspects things…this was interesting to say the least—Mickie James defeated by Jillian, a woman who served as a jobber for years, was a WTF moment. Not to say that Jillian wasn’t deserving of a title, however it came out of no where. The answer to the booking came almost immediately, as one of the guest hosts, Nancy O’Dell announced a Divas draft—Melina was announced as being drafted to Raw, and Jillian’s first title defense. The booking became very apparent, Jillian was nothing more than a transitional champion. Melina defeated Jillian, to the dismay of Jillian’s cult following.

Who are the winners here?…Both Melina and Jillian. We can go on about how bad the matches were, or speculate on why the WWE had Mickie drop the title. At the end of the day, Jillian goes down in wwe history as a champion, something that seemed impossible, and Melina is propelled to Raw’s flagship diva. Not only that, but she becomes the third woman to hold both the Divas and Women’s title.

—One diva that was not happy about the trade was Beth Phoenix. She expressed her dismay to co-hosts, Maria Menounos and Nacy O’Dell. After roughing-up Maria Menounos, a six-woman tag match was booked.

—Kelly Kelly, Gail Kim & Maria Menounos defeated Beth Phoenix, Alicia Fox & Rosa Mendes. Kelly Kelly got the pin on Rosa Mendes. Maria Menounos got in on the action, after youtube videos of her training hit the net, this was predictable.
