—On the second segment of Raw, Trish Stratus came into the arena to a huge ovation, as Raw’s guest host. Trish looked amazing. Personally, the dark hair colors are hotter on her than the blonde. Trish went on to announce a re-match between WWE champion John Cena and Randy Orton at the Hell in a Cell Pay Per View on Sunday, October 4.
—Alicia Fox defeated Gail Kim, to become the number 1 contender for Mickie James’ WWE Divas title. Alicia Fox picked up the win after hitting Kim with a vicious axe kick.
Star Of The Match: Alicia Fox. Gail Kim certainly was on fire in this match, that cannot be taken away from her. However if there was a night to be impressed with Alicia, this was it. Very enjoyable.
—In a backstage segment, Trish Status was confronted by Beth Phoenix and Chris Jericho. The encounter set up a mixed tag match, with Beth & Jericho, vs. Trish and a partner of her choosing (MVP).
The originally booked Mixed Tag Match; Trish Stratus & MVP vs. Beth Phoenix & Chris Jericho turned into a 6-person tag match after The Big Show and Mark Henry interfered. Trish Stratus, MVP & Mark Henry picked up the victory when Trish hit Beth with her Stratusfaction (Springboard Bulldog) finisher.
Star Of The Match: Trish Stratus. This match was booked to celebrate the Divas icon Trish. It goes without saying—she was the star. Beth was nothing but a prop, although some might have wanted Trish to put Beth over. Trish did fumble a bit in the ring, for example, with her MaTrish (Matrix evasion). However over analyzing her performance would be uncalled for.
What did drag it down though, was the amnesia the bookers suffered with Beth and Trish’s history. Was the December 22, 2008 match on Raw between Trish and John Cena vs. Santino Marella and Beth Phoenix acknowledged? It seemed that they swept it under the rug. *cough* cough* Didn’t Trish Stratus introduce Beth on WWE television?
Plus, Trish was always in Beth’s corner during Mickie’s psycho run back in 20o6 until Beth’s jaw was smahed by Victoria.
Yes, it was as if the fans didn’t have the attention span to remember…they insulted our intelligence.

When Trish said to Beth “I didn’t even know you,” I let it go…however the announcers not acknowledging any encounters in the past, I couldn’t turn a blind eye to that.
As far as Trish being back in the WWE, man, she sure is in great shape and her look is good. I’m sure the wwe would welcome her back with open arms, however it seems like a major personal choice. She is likely done with that chapter in her life.
