iMPACT!: Christy Makes Her TNA Return From Injury, Cody Deaner Makes Out With Awesome Kong, Tara & More

—This week on iMPACT!, Christy Hemme made her TNA return, after tending to a neck injury she suffered earlier this year. Christy pinned her opponent Sojo, after hitting her FFG (“Flying Firecrotch Guillotine”).
The ladies opened iMPACT!, giving Christy‘s return some meaning, however the match was questionable. Christy Hemme is by no means known as one of best athletes in the Knockouts divison, and Sojo has been under fire by wrestling critics for her lackluster in-ring performances in recent months-This made for an interesting mix. Sojo and Christy are no strangers to each other in TNA’s singles competition, however, they did not succeed in changing the minds of their critics.
Star of the Match:Christy Hemme. Her energetic charisma, more than made up for her flaws. In fact, this was probably one of her better showing in TNA. Considering she is returning from injury, good return for her, with great reaction from the arena.
—”Cody Deaner Makes Out With Awesome Kong”…Alright, the title should have been “Tara Pins Awesome Kong,” however, Cody Deaner locking lips with Awesome Kong, was too much good TV to pass up making it a headline.
Tara vs. Awesome Kong vs. ODB vs. Angelina Love(c)…Tara won the 4-Way match after a roll-up on Awesome Kong.
Star of the Match:Awesome Kong. Despite falling victim to her kryptonite (roll-ups), the build up to her loss was knockout entertainment at its best. The end of the match, saw Awesome Kong choke slamming ODB, with Cody Deaner expressing his disdain. Cody then grabbed Awesome Kong, locking lips with the former Women’s Champ—Big mistake!. Cody then became a victim of a nicely executed awesome bomb. This distracted Kong long enough to get roll-up by Tara.
All four women put on an exciting match, with one exception of a high-risk botch. The Beautiful People failed to correctly catch Tara during her top rope cross body to ringside.
Even with the win on Kong, there is no word on Tara vs. Kong at Hard Justice. This may be a blessing in disguise, giving Tara and Kong more time to build the feud.
