TNA has had some absurd bookings and company decisions over the last couple of months, however recent rumors since Sunday, on the status of Jacqueline Moore, and now Roxxi. If the rumors does indeed turn out to be true, it is simple down right self-destructive on the companies part—they will continue to burry the once highly revered Knockouts Division. In 2008, TNA proved their stupidity when they could not hold on to arguably the most athletic and recognizable face of the Knockouts, Gail Kim. Their stupidity has not only been with the knockouts, but with the entire roster, how else to you explain outstanding wrestlers such as Sanjay Dutt and Petey Williams being released, who should have undoubtibly been the future of the company.
After Sunday’s Destination X Pay-Per-View, Wrestling News Sites went wild with the absence of Jacqueline (Manager of Beer Money), and Cute Kip (Valet to The Beautiful People). Roxxi on he other hand, who did wrestle at Destination X, was suddenly engulfed in ridiculous backstage altercation rumors, in which she suffered a “blackeye” by the hands of Rhaka Khan, (who is rumored to be dating Kurt Angle). All of which, I took with a grain of salt. And why not take the reports as rumors? While many would have been overjoyed to see Cute Kip released, certainly Roxxi & Jacqueline, who would arguable be ranked in the top 5 female wrestlers in TNA (with Taylor Wilde, Angeline Love, Raisha Saeed and Awesome Kong also vying for the spots), their status was never in question.
Now, according to PWInsider.com, Cute Kip, Roxxi and Jacqueline were pulled off of television due to a decision from TNA president Dixie Carter. According to gerweck.net, “The decision to pull the three stars was not received particularly well, so people have decided to take the blame out on Jeff Jarrett — although he doesn’t appear to be at fault.” The related rumor is that Jacqueline will become an agent for the Knockouts Division… while having Jacqueline as a Women’s Division agent would improve the shit product we’ve been given lately, there was no reason to remove the glue of Tag Team Beer Money, yes, the glue… not to mention, why not have Jackie give a much needed on television assist to the less than stella match quality in the Women’s Division?
The gospel through is, TNA, like the WWE, could have used Jacqueline’s age and marketability as an issue, however in Roxxi’s case… the rumors are beyond absurd. The same Roxxi the arena was chanting for as The Beautiful People beat down The Governor this Thursday on iMPACT!? Roxxi who was no where in sight in the area… chants that rival ODB’s. The same woman that sacrificed her hair? the same woman that Kong should have dropped the TNA women’s title to? …yes my friends, this is the one time that news sites need to be dead wrong!
I close with, think back to August 7, 2008 on TNA iMPACT… Roxxi Laveaux defeating Jackie Moore in a Bimbo Brawl. What was seen was two superb female athletes going at it… shoes that many of the current knockouts can barely step into—Rumors, be wrong!
I hope Roxxi and Jackie don’t get wasted.
