What can be said that isn’t going to be said? TNA Knockouts = Ratings, and no, The Beautiful People were not involved. What scored was the continuation, or rather ending of the best Women’s Wrestling feud we’ve seen in recent history. TNA undoubtedly should have bent over backwards to give Gail Kim the salary she was asking for. Hopefully this will be a wake up call to TNA as they can’t afford to loose any of their top Knockouts.
Keller’s Analysis: What does it say that another Awesome Kong vs. Gail Kim seven minute match in Q7 outdrew the 12 minute A.J. Styles vs. Kurt Angle ladder match in Q8. Each quarter had one commercial break. It reenforces my belief that TNA did itself a disservice business-wise if Gail Kim wasn’t offered a salary within 20 percent of what an A.J. Styles level wrestler receives, with the only justification for paying her less is a shorter tenure with the company. If TNA lowballed Kim because she’s a woman or a belief that the Knockouts are interchangeable, they made a mistake. (PWTorch)
