Awesome Kong defeated Gail Kim in a Street Fight to be aired on August 21, 2008.

Why is this major? Easy–We get to see another chapter in what has been the best Women’s Wrestling feud in recent years. Reports are saying that the match came close to their Final Resolution NO DQ match and if that’s any consolation, it’s a must see match. On this week’s iMPACT! (8/14), we saw Gail and Kong brawl after a Taylor Wilde vs Christy Hemme match, and their was certainly no love loss as it ended with Kong receiving a chair shot to the head from Kim.

Their feud has certainly taken many hits in recent months, from the popularity of women such as Roxxi, ODB and the Beautiful People taking center stage to Kong dropping the TNA Women’s title to Taylor Wilde. Despite this, none of the Knockout matches has been able the reach to caliber of performance we see between Kong and Kim and the iMPACT! and when it’s said and done, this will be the feud that the Women’s Division was build on.
