Smackdown Diva Cherry (Kara Drew) fired by the WWE
Posted on Friday, August 15th, 2008 by Arron Carlton
Internet fan favorite Kara Drew better known as Smackdown’s Cherry, was released by the World Wrestling Entertainment today, to the shock of many fans. In the past week, the WWE has released numerous male wrestlers, and the release of a WWE Diva or two was bound to happen. On the August 8, 2008 edition of Smackdown from Atlanta, Georgia, Cherry took part in a six-diva olympic-special tag team match. Cherry was best known for being the valet of former Tag Team Champions, Deuce ‘n Domino. Unlike a slew of the WWE Divas, she is one of the few that worked her way up from the independent circuit. There will be a lot of bitching because of her release, however, this is the WWE and shocking random releases that are unmerited should come as no surprise.
WWE.com posted the following…

I am very shocked that the WWE has fired Cherry. She was like a “sweetheart” to me, and one of my favorite Divas. I have been “in love” with her since the first night I saw her on Smackdown, and now that she is gone, I guess I’ll have to find a new “love.”
Why Is WWE Being Like This To Us! It’s Like If They Don’t Even Want Us To Watch WWE. Im A Big Fan Of Cherry (Kara Drew) Especially Smackdown Diva Torrie Wilson And ECW Vixen Trinity. They Were The Best Trained Wrestlers They Could Have And All WWE Is Doing Is Hiring A Bunch Of Gimmicks Who Cant Wrestle.
This is Not right, Cherry has a heart of gold and for WWE to fire her is unfair not just to her but to Millions of fans. They misused her big time she should of been diva’s Champion not Michelle Mccool…….
